The football season is drawing to a close which brings with it the inevitable worries about a summer of Ikea, walks, and days out with the family but fear not because there is still plenty of football for the remainder of this month as well as lots of major sporting events to come in July which Bobookies will be covering over the summer. Here is the schedule for the big sporting events coming up in the next few weeks and I've highlighted my favourite events, which to be fair, is most of them! Send this link to your girlfriend and then she won't have any reason to think that the end of the football season means some kind of respite! Enjoy! Chelsea crashed to a shock 3.0 defeat at West Brom to defeat my top double but I was able to cover the 2nd double with WBA and Cesena both scoring inside the first 15 minutes and it was a profitable night with Napoli winning and BTTS.
With WBA a goal up early on, and Cesena scoring inside 10 minutes in Naples, I was able to stake a further 0.5 points on Chelsea not to score @4/1 odds. This ensured that I got my stake back should they fail to score and in the end, it was the right call although a pretty obvious one with Cesena and WBA scoring so early and so unexepectedly. and while I only made 0.5 points on that bet, I was delighted with my sexy single winning as Napoli edged to a 3.2 win over Cesena. Here are last night's results and my May scores. It was a frustrating weekend for bobookies where despite some tremendous tips, including 6/1 Freiburg to beat Bayern, we ended up losing a little of our overall winnings.
On Friday I lost 2 points on my BTTS selection at Middlesbrough which I quickly recovered with BTTS in the early game at Ipswich on Saturday. Beyond that, it was a day of frustration as I tipped up some shock winners (Freiburg @6/1 to beat Bayern and QPR to beat Newcastle @2/1) but failed to land any further profit following the early BTTS selection winner at Norwich. The season is drawing to a close, and now is the time when men (and women) across the world are beginning to fear the 2 months of Saturday afternoon trips to Ikea rather than spending them with Jeff and the boys, and while there is no replacing Soccer Saturday, we do have a big football tournament from thousands of miles away to satisfy the drought. The Copa America gets under way on the 12th of June and Bo will have all the action covered from the showpiece football event of the summer to keep you going through those long empty summer days with daily best bets for all the action. You might still need to do the Saturday shopping but your evenings will be full of football fun with games kicking off at the hours of 2100 CET, 2330 CET and 0130 CET. Juicy. Let's take a look at the 3 groups and the fixtures. It was a bit of a disappointing weekend for boobookies despite some fine winners and some finer picks that didn't make us any profit (looking at you Freiburg) but tonight we have a chance to get a little back with 2 games to look at from England and Italy. Chelsea will introduce some youngsters to their squad tonight while WBA may fancy their chances against weakened opponents and in Italy, relegated Cesena visit Napoli in another virtually meaningless fixture. Woohoo! There's one other match in Italy but with it being the early game, I haven't taken a closer look although I may do so when I return home this afternoon. Here are my previews and predictions for tonight's action. It's been an even today more or less but there's a full Spanish card to come at 1900 CET and I'm heading out to watch Barcelona possibly clinch the title at Atletico.
I've got a little double and treble to try to finish the weekend off. So much action to cover today and as ever my bets have been analysed and stand up to statistical reasoning.
With only 1 full weekend to go, I'm going to raise the stakes today and be a little bit bold. Let's make it another Super Sunday! It's a busy Sunday with a full card in Holland and Spain as well as the usual helping of Serie A fixtures to look at and with so many games to consider, I will be focusing on the matches where 1 or both teams have something to play.
i never have time to write Sunday previews but the selections have been analysed and in Holland so many of the games are dead rubbers but there are a couple of issues near the top for the Europa League places so I will concentrate on those. Serie A looks good for goals these days and I fancy goals in 2 of our 4 afternoon games. Here are my predictions and best bets for the best of the action across the continent this afternoon with a 2nd part to follow for the evening games. Just 3 games from the UK today as Arsenal and Man Utd go head to head at Old Trafford in the battle for the 2nd-4th positions while Swansea welcome former champions Man City to the Liberty stadium with Europa League qualification still a possibility for the Welsh outfit. In scotland, Rangers face a crucial 2nd leg with Q.O.S in their battle to rejoin the Scottish Premiership and they will be confident of success with a 2.1 first leg advantage to protect. Here are today's predictions and best bets for the UK football today. It's the penultimate weekend in many of the divisions across Europe today with big games in England, Germany and Italy amongst others but my focus is on the Premier League and Bundesliga for today's picks. I made a stupid but lucky mistake in posting an initial version of this page with villa not to lose in my deadly double without realising the game had already kicked off and Villa were 5.1 down! Amazing luck and a rare mistake with the kick-off time. I've added a couple of selections that weren't included in the preiews following some late night studying and my 3 points on Norwich BTTS (did it in-play at events) has already won so that's 3 points in the bag for profit. Here are my best bets for a super sunny Saturday! We have just 2 leagues to look at in Europe today with a full card from the penultimate day of the season in Germany as well as a couple of fixtures from Serie A to consider. PSG can clinch the title in France but will be without their key man Zlatan as they take a trip to beautiful Montpellier knowing a point will secure another Ligue 1 crown. Relegation is the main issue still to be decided in Deutchland and there are some crucial games today, none more so than the battle of the sleeping giants as Hamburg and Stuttgart face-off with the loser destined for relegation. Here are today's predictions, previews and best bets from the best of the action in Europe today. It's a huge game from England tonight as Brentford visit Middlesbrough with both sides dreaming of a £150 million Premier League shoot-off at Wembley later this month in the Championship play-off final. Brentford have it all to do having lost the first leg 2.1 and with the away side needing the win here it should be a real cup tie atmosphere at the Riverside tonight. Here's my preview for the big game. It was another day of decent tipping and small profit at bobreaksbookies as Dnipro stunned Napoli with a 1.0 success in Ukraine as tipped up by bobookies at 6/4 odds while Sevilla got the job done with a 2.o win in Florence to set up an intriguing final.
Not many tipsters would have been on Juventus and Dnipro to make the finals this week of the Champions and Europa Leagues but then most tipsters aren't bobookies and this was an even bigger shock than Juventus success with the "minnows" upsetting the apple-cart. We have 2 Semi-finals tonight from the Europa League as Dnipro welcome Napoli to Ukraine with their tie poised at 1.1 from the first leg while Sevilla should have little trouble in protecting their 3 goal first leg advantage as they visit Florence. I expect a real battle in Ukraine with Dnipro earning a surprise 1.1 draw in Naples last week while Sevilla's task is considerably easier following their 3.0 win in Spain last Thursday. Here are my previews for the action tonight. Juventus pulled off the upset victory (as tipped up by bobookies yesterday) with a fine 1.1 draw in the Bernabeu to end Real's hopes of setting up their dream final with Barcelona. It was a well deserved triumph in the end for Juventus and the only mistake I made on the night was backing a 2.1 win for Juve with my free bet365 in play offer and it might have been had the referee awarded a penalty in the 74th minute for a clear shove in the box. The game went pretty much according to plan with Ronaldo scoring first and Juve fighting back. I half expected the 2nd goal to come for Real, as discussed in my preview but Juventus deservedly held on to secure all 3 of my best bets for the night to continue my tremendous form of the past week. Let's check on my results for the night and for the month. I have a couple of just for fun bets to try for tonight's game and why not with so many fine wins in recent days. Here are 2 further small stakes bets and my suggested free in play bet. Here are today's best bets for the big game in Madrid with kick off in just over 45 minutes.
It's another huge match tonight with the 2nd leg of the 2nd Champions League Semi-finals to come as Juventus protect a 2.1 advantage over Real Madrid from the first leg in Turin last week. With Real the defending champions and needing a win, we should be in for a titanic struggle between 2 of European footballs heavyweights. Here's the preview, prediction and best bets for a big game in Spain. As expected there were goals a plenty in Munich last night as Bayern won 3.2 on the night but of course that wasn't enough as they crashed out 5.2 on aggregate. I was happy with 2 of my 3 tips landing inside the first half but I placed my free 25 on a 3.3 draw @12/1 with the scores tied at 1.1 and with moments remaining it looked like Neymar would be my hero again but for some reason he decided he would rather try to set up his pal Messi for a goal than score a hat-trick! what. a. blank. This has been a frustrating little habit the Brazilian has in that he seems to prefer to score brownie points with Messi rather than scoring goals himself and it cost me big time last night as his overhit pass ended my hopes when it looked easier to score. Still it was yet another winning night for boobookies and we go again tonight with the 2nd of semi-final ties and bet365 will be doing their free in play offer once more. A little luck please today? Here are last night's results and my totals for May I'm confident there will be goals tonight in Munich but I am still undecided on what I will use my free bet on. I will tweet this bet during the match off but I fancy being a little ambitious and might try a correct score. I'm going to go with 2 singles to start off and I'll see what my gut tells me once we kick-off. Here are my best bets. Barcelona travel to Munich as they look to secure yet another appearance in the final and should be confident with a 3 goal advantage surely too much for Bayern to overcome at the Allianz tonight. It's the only game of the day and and with Bet365 doing their free in play bet for tonight's match, we have a chance to make some extra risk free profit! Here is my preview for the big game. The bet365 free £50 in play offer is back (25 euros in Spain) as they are doing their popular in-play bet offer for BOTH of this week’s Champions League semi-final 2nd legs. Tonight sees Bayern attempt the impossible as they look to recover from 3 goals down at home to Barcelona. It was another night of winners at bobookies with ony Arsenal's shock failure at home to Swansea preventing it from being a truly sensational day.
My first bet of the day was simple enough with Genoa routing Torino 5.1 and Vitesse doing something similar in winning 4.1 at Feyenoord to return my 2/1 main Deadly Double. Rayo beat Getafe while Swindon and Shef Utd shared 10 goals to serve up a sensational 5.5 draw which saw Swindon make it through the to the League 1 Play-off Final but sadly Arsenal's failure to score stopped it from being a perfect day. Here are last nights results and I'm still cursing those Gunners who had they scored 1 more would have got me an extra 7.38 points returned and had they managed the win, it would have been another 15! Still, 7 out of 10 winning picks and 2.31 points of profit is another decent day and I'm on a fine run now with the season drawing to a close in the next couple of weeks. Here are my final results for last night and my totals for May. |
