Mayweathers D Day with Pacman fast AppROACHing There comes a time in any man’s life when he has to stand up, accept his fate and face the music. It might not be what he wanted, it might be the last thing in the world he asked for but in the end it is inescapable. It’s your destiny, will you stand or fall?; That moment has now arrived for Floyd Mayweather Jnr as he puts his unbeaten record on the line against the people's champion, Manny Pacquiao in the biggest fight of the century. After 6 years of talk, after all the hype, after all the yes, no's and maybes, finally the fight that the public has demanded and craved was agreed in February after a "chance" meeting between the two fighters at a Miami Heat game and following a late night discussion in Pacquiao's hotel room, the 2 agreed that this was the fight they wanted. But why now? What changed? It was another tremendous night for bobreaksbookies as 2 of my 3 bets brought home the bacon to give me a total profit of 10.3 points for the night. The evening began well with Seville winning comfortably at Eibar and then Palermo and Torino brought up the BTTS selection within 10 minutes! Genoa thumped Milan 3.1 in the San Siro and I did suggest that the visitors could win but in the end I was happy enough with 8/11 odds on BTTS. I spoke about BTTS in Italy and I picked 3 out of 4 winning selections with only Sassuolo failing to score of the 8 teams tipped. In the end 5 of the 8 games produced BTTS with Cesena and Atalanta also delivering, as tipped but not included in my final selections. Chelsea and Juve both claimed comeback wins to secure their respective titles (more or less) and my 5/1 treble to make it a really excellent night with 5 out of 6 selections winning (Atletico are 0.0 at the time of writing) Here are the results in full and my overall winning numbers for the last 2 months. Take that bookies! I'm going to follow the formula of last night's success with another Deadly Double and Tasty Treble for you to try tonight with goals and away wins the order of the day.
I've taken a late look at the Juve game and seeing their price of 8/13 have decided to back the league leaders to secure the title tonight. I will raise the stakes a little and hopefully we can finish the month in some real style. Here are today's best bets. *** Please note that the Sevilla fixture at Eibar kicks-off at 2000 CET. It's a busy Wednesday night with 8 fixtures in Serie A and 5 from La Liga, as well as a big clash in the Premier League as Chelsea look to take another step towards the title as they travel to an on form Leicester.
I don't have the time to do full previews or even look at every fixture so I will be focusing most of my attention on the Italian action where I'm hoping for more goals after 9 out of 10 Serie A fixtures at the weekend resulted in BTTS and I also like the looks of a couple of away wins in La Liga as Atletico and their brilliant manager Simeone travel to an off-form Villareal. Here are my previews, predictions and best bets for the best of Wednesday's action. Tuesday was a slam dunk for bobreaksbookies with all 5 of my suggested bets coming home at collective odds of over 20/1!
Rotherham secured their Championship safety with a deserved win over Reading while PSG made me sweat a little before securing a 3.1 victory at home to Metz to bring up my "deadly double" at 2/1 odds. It turned out to be a perfect night as my 9/1 treble also landed with Hull beating Liverpool, BTTS at Udinese, and Dortmund who triumphed on penalties at Bayern to reach the German cup final. I was particularly pleased with my 7/5 pick of Dortmund not to lose in 90 minutes ( I also got the correct score :)) especially when Bayern were backed up by many of the big tipsters (looking at you Mrfixit) and were as short as 1/2 to claim the win. I have no doubt that plenty of punters would have been on Bayern but as advertised, Bo dodges the bullets and Bayern would certainly have been a coupon buster for most but Dortmund always raise their game against the Champions and so it proved as they fought back to win on penalties. After a disappointing Monday it was good to get a perfect night and hopefully on Wednesday we can increase our monthly profits. Here's a reminder of last night's results and my overall totals for April (including my 4 point loss from Tuesday) I'm keeping the stakes low tonight but I do have a deadly double and an ambitious treble
to try that stand up to good statistical analysis, and as I am just home from work and feeling very tired, I will say no more. Here they are: It was a disappointing night for bobreaksbookies as both of my best bets failed thanks to Boltons inability to find the net at Bournmouth in their 3.0 defeat.
I was pretty accurate in my write up for the Valencia game with the hosts running out 4.0 winners over Granada but sadly Bolton couldn't score a consolation goal in their defeat which cost me a potential 12 points. A red card in the 2nd half did little to help my cause and in the end the victory was much more routine for Bournemouth than I had predicted. Tuesday's action is prety limited although the German cup clash between Dortmund and Bayern should prove to be feisty while Hull and Rotherham both face crucial matches in their battle to avoid relegation from their respective leagues in England. We have 3 matches to look at in La Liga tonight, as well as a Serie A clash between Udinese and Inter to consider on a night where I may stake very little with my attention diverted to the fixtures tomorrow where we have plenty of games to look at from Italy and Spain. Here are tonight's brief previews, predictions and best bets. With just 2 games to choose from, I've come up with a single and a double for tonight's matches and I'm hoping for and expecting a thriller at Bournemouth and a routine home win for Valencia, as previewed in my earlier post.
Here are tonight's bets. It's a relatively quiet Monday with just 1 top flight game from Spain as Valencia host a poor Granada outfit while Bournemouth can all but seal their place in the Premier League with a home win over Bolton which should make for entertaining viewing in front of the Sky TV cameras tonight. Here are my previews for both of tonight's fixtures and I'm feeling confident about the selections highlighted. While Saturday was riddled with misfortune, Sunday turned out to be a lucky day for bobreaksbookies as we recovered our losses from Saturday to get back into profit as we approach the end of the month.
2 missed penatlies and a red card in the games at QPR, Burnley and Norwich pretty much cost me my 3 main bets on Saturday but the luck turned on Sunday as Moenchengladbach scored a last minute winner to secure my best bet of the day as well as Groningen who brought home the BTTS and not to lose bets as well as Everton who thumped Man Utd 3.0 at Goodison. I'm happy that we recovered on Sunday because I was feeling quite downbeat with Saturday's performance and with a bit of luck we should be able to finish our 2nd successive month in profit. Here is a quick reminder of my weekend results. It's been a decent start to Sunday with 1 of my doubles already won, another beaten and 1 more still to run with 3 of my 4 selections so far winning.
Everton and Groningen both avoided defeat to bring up my 3rd double and with BTTS scoring as well in Holland, I'm now waiting on Moenchengladbach to bring up my main bet of the day. I'm going to add one more bet for today as I still fancy the over 2.5 and BTTS selection at twente which was the 2nd leg my failed 2nd bet (everton v man utd btts) Here is my final bet of the weekend. Bo's Deadly Double Total Staked - 2 Points Potential Returns - 8.6 Points Twente vs AZ Alkmaar - OVER 2.5 goals and BTTS @8/11 Arsenal to beat Chelsea @6/4 My luck has to improve today after 2 missed penalties and a red card cost me my best bets yesterday on a day where so many of my tips came home but failed to make it into my final selections.
I will post a full review of my weekend results later, with hopefully some better luck to report after yesterday's painful day. Here are the Sunday bets. We have a genuine Super Sunday on Sky today with Everton kicking things off at home to Man Utd while champions elect Chelsea visit Arsenal as Arsene Wenger looks to record his first win over Jose Mourinho in 13 attempts.
In Germany there's a huge clash between 2 of the top 3 as Moenchengladbach and Wolfsburg go head to head with the automatic Champions League position at stake. Theres a full card in Italy with a Turin derby between Torino and Juve catching the eye while goals are likely in the Dutch league fixtures at Twente and Groningen. I don't have time for the full previews today, so here are my predictions and best bets for my favourite games across Europe today. So the lock on my front door has broken and I'm currently stuck in doors on my day off in Barcelona, and it has crossed my mind to sack the bets on a day that begins with this kind of luck! Of course the silver lining is that I don't need to feel guilty about spending my Saturday in front of the TV and it should be a good day with some big games taking place across Europe. I've focused purely on the top 2 leagues in England and while I may post a bet for the evening action on offer from the continent, I am ignoring the Bundesliga early kick-offs as well as the La Liga action which features a Catalan derby between Espanyol and Barcelona. Here are today's best bet selections. We are down to the penultimate weekend in the Championship and the race for the top 2 positions is still incredibly close with 4 teams still chasing the title and the other automatic promotion place. There are 11 games on offer today but I'm ignoring the 2 early games and will focus only on matches where 1 or both teams still have something to play for. It's tough to find value near the end of the season with the bookies pricing the teams who need to win at very short odds and I'm not convinced you should be backing the likes of 'boro at 4/6 odds on to win at Fulham or Ipswich at 1/2 to beat Forest. Needing to win and winning is not the same thing and while many will lump on the teams that are chasing promotion, it is rarely that straightforward and I expect 1 or of the hopefuls to slip up today. Here are my previews, predictions and best bets for the best of the action. With the season reaching it's conclusion there are a lot of vital matches taking place across Europe this weekend as well as the inevitable dead rubber games where teams with little to play for are already thinking about their summer holidays. I am obviously going to focus on the matches where 1 or both sides have something to play for with the less important matches being ignored. Saturday's haven't beeen great and it's clear that I need to limit my focus to fewer games and spend more of my time studying the facts, rather than writing my previews and thats exactly what I'm doing this weekend. I'm also going to ignore La Liga entirely and there may only be a few selections from across the European leagues. Here are my short previews, predictions and best bets for the best of the action in the Premier League. Well I hope any of my followers choose to cover Napoli when they were 2.0 up on Wolfsburg last night as it only required 0.3 points to ensure a victory and with BTTS already a winner in St Petersburg, and being pretty desperate to secure some profit it was definitely a no brainer to cover.
Wednesday didn't go according to plan so my numbers are down on what they were but still we are holding profit as we enter the final weekend of the month. Here are last nights results and my overall results for April. Bo's Deadly Double Total Staked - 2 Points Potential Returns - 7.08 Points Overall Returns - 6.7 Points Zenit v Sevilla - BTTS @8/13 - WON - Final score 2.2 Napoli to beat Wolfsburg @6/5 - Void - Final score 2.2 0.32 Points on Wolfsburg or draw at 20/1 with 20 minutes to go (Napoli were 2.0 up) allowed me to guarantee a good win. Overall for April Sexy Singles - 0 Winners, 3 Losers - Loss of 9 Points Deadly Doubles - 13 winners, 29 losers -Loss of of 5.7 Points Tasty Trebles - 4 Winners, 11 Losers - Profit of 19.43 Points Dour Draws and Accas - 1 Winner, 6 Losers - Profit of 1.07 Points Overall profit of 5.8 Points I'm not bothering with the small amount of games tonight as I am fully concentrated on this weekend's huge action from the UK and Europe. Well it was another frustrating day for bobreaksbookies as my big bet Atletico narrowly lost 1.0 to Real in a game that was changed by the dismissal of Arda Turan who could have no complaints with the red card.
In the other tie, Juventus and Monaco played out a 0.0 draw which did bring up my under 0.5 goals first half at 5/4 but sadly Atletico's defeat at the death cost me most of all. Today we have the remaining Europa league quarter final 2nd leg ties and I'm looking for goals to try to get us back on track for the weekend although following my losses this week, it seems sensible to keep stakes low. Here are my short previews and best bets It was another cruel night for Bobookies as PSG and Suarez's failure to score at the Nou Camp cost me both of my doubles as Barca claimed a 2.0 win thanks to 2 goals from Neymar.
Meanwhile in Germany it all went according to plan as Bayern romped home by 6 goals to 1 to secure their qualification to the semi-finals having punished Porto with 5 first half goals. And Pep got so excited, he ripped his pants! It's been a hard week though for Bo and I need to get a winner soon or the month could end up negative and that simply must not be allowed to happen! We have 2 more games tonight as Juventus travel to Monte Carlo with a 1.0 lead over Monaco while Real welcome city rivals Atletico to the Bernabeu with the tie poised at 0.0 from the first leg. Here are my previews for tonight's action It's been a shitty week for bobreaksbookies with my overall balance for April shrinking from a profit of 29 points last Thursday down to just 7 points as of today.
Bad runs are normal and it's vital to maintain confidence and faith in my approach although it can be difficult when you feel the strain of a couple of bad days and Saturday and Tuesday were definitely those with 15 points lost. In hindsight, I should have ignored the Monday night game in Italy as well and last night it would have made more sense to put Bayern on as a single but theres no use crying over spilled milk; today is a new day and I'm sure we will get back to winnings ways over the remainder of the week and month. I suppose I should remind my loyal #BOlievers that March was a month where we returned 28% profit so all is not lost, despite a poor few days for the king of bookie breaking. Here are my overall results for April Sexy Singles - 0 Winners, 2 Losers - Loss of 6 Points Deadly Doubles - 12 winners, 29 losers -Loss of 7.4 Points Tasty Trebles - 4 Winners, 11 Losers - Profit of 19.43 Points Dour Draws and Accas - 1 Winner, 6 Losers - Profit of 1.07 Points Overall profit of 7.1 Points Full previews and best bets to follow for tonight's action. I expect goals in both of the quarter final 2nd leg's tonight with PSG needing 3 in Barcelona and Bayern needing at least 2 if they are to get past Porto. In my previews I picked out Bayern to qualify and PSG to put up a good fight in the Nou Camp and that's what I'm going for in my 2 doubles tonight. Here are Tuesday's best bets. Bo's Deadly Double
Total Staked - 3 Points Potential Returns - 8.87 Points Barcelona v PSG - BTTS @8/13 Bayern -1 to beat Bayern @5/6 Bo's Deadly Double Total Staked - 2.5 Points Potential Returns - 9.99 Points Barcelona v PSG - Suarez to score anytime @21/20 Bayern to qualify @19/20 It's Champions League time as Barca welcome PSG to the Nou Camp with their tie all but settled, and Porto visit Munich with a 2 goal lead to protect. I could certainly do with a boost after a poor weekend that was followed by a 3 point loss last night as Fiorentina crashed to a home defeat to Verona that bookies certainly didn't expect to see. There are 2 games to look at today, most notably the 2 champions league ties as Bayern look to overturn a 3.1 first leg defeat at home to Porto while Barca should have little trouble in finishing the job at home to PSG who need at least 3 goals on the night to have a chance to progress. I'm quite happy it's a quiet Monday and there are only 2 games to look at from the major leagues across Europe with 1 fixture in Serie A and another in La Liga.
There are fixtures from the lower leagues across Europe, and It does amaze me that some people are willing to gamble on football that they surely have no first hand knowledge of. That's why I stick to the leagues that I have a real knowledge of, rather than plucking an over 2.5 goals stat from some footballing outpost. I even read a post from 1 chap who said that he loved a bet on Czech under 21 football. The mind boggles. Anyways, I like the looks of the fixture in Serie A between Fiorentina and Verona and that will be my main pick for today wtih Elche and Sociedad not really appealing. It was a really tough weekend for Bobreaksbookies although we at least avoided further pain on Sunday as one my deadly doubles returned as a winner to leave me about 14 points down for the weekend, but still 15 points up for the month.
Some of my better predictions for the weekend included the Chelsea 1.0 win, Villa not to lose against Liverpool and Leicester to beat Swansea but in the end Valencia's missed penatly at the Camp Nou cost me, as did Cagliari's failure to score against Napoli in a 3.0 loss. There is a clear pattern of struggles on Saturday's and once again I found it a trial to select my final picks after highlighting so many and this remains an issue that we need to remedy at bobookies for Saturdays. It would be interesting to look back over the last 2 months and see which days it is that I do best on. Instinctively, Sundays, Thursdays and Mondays seem to be my best days with Saturday definitely at the bottom of the list. This week sees Champions League and Europa League but not much else so hopefully in the coming days with fewer games to study, we will claim back those lost winnings. |
