Here are my final picks from tonight's action in Italy and I'm going for goals as last dayd fixtures tend to see some crazy results, and plenty of action.
Goals have been rampant in Serie A of late so let's hope they finish the season in style. It's the final day of the Serie A season in Italy and the final set of fixtures from our top leagues in Europe (awww) which means bobookies will need to find something else to do for the next 2 months! But of course that's not true as I will be here during the summer to cover the Copa America, the UEFA U21's and any other action we can find some winners on but first things first, let's take a look at our final day in Italy and there are still some major issues to be resolved. It should be a cracker in Naples as Lazio travel to face Napoli knowing that a point will secure them a 3rd position finish and subsequent qualification to next season's Champions League qualifiers while a defeat would allow Napoli to sneak in the back door. It has the makings of a really juicy contest while Genoa and Fiorentina are still fighting to see who will qualify for the Europa League (much less juicy). It should be a cracking evening of sport with all the cup finals and the boxing from London and I will have 2 screens going for this great sporting day.
Here are my best bets for the football. It's cup final day across Europe with showpiece games coming from England, Germany, France and Spain and with all of the action kicking off in the evening, you should have time to enjoy your Saturday afternoon before the action gets under way at 1830 CET. I really believe that we will see some great games and BTTS will feature prominently in my selections today. There's a couple of Serie A games to look at as well which should allow me to find some nice doubles and trebles for all the action. Here are my previews, predictions and best bets. It's been a couple of days since I looked at my totals for this month and even following a couple of frustrating days, we are still in healthy profit as the month draws to a close.
Wednesday saw a tremendous Europa League final and having backed Bacca to score first and anytime (2 goals but not first) I was able to stake some of my returns on some correct scores that didn't quite come off. Still we only lost 1.36 points on the night. Thursday was even more of a frustration as Rangers blew my deadly double by losing at home to Mothewell on a night when the other 2 fixtures finished exactly as predicted with my 12/1 bonkers bet on Heerenveen to draw 2.2 proving accurate as well as my 1.1 draw in Hamburg. I staked 0.5 points on the bonkers bet but didn't state my stake on the sight when i suggested the bet. This was my mistake so I won't include those 6 points of profit in my totals. It's becoming a pain to separate all my bet types for the purposes of totalling my scores so from next month, it will just be bets won and lost. Here are the latest totals for May. It promises to be an enthralling evening of boxing in London tomorrow with 3 world titles on the line at the O2 Arena including a top domestic showdown between IBF champ Kell Brook and former world amateur champion Frankie Gavin. It's a fully stacked card and with British favourites such as the aforementioned Brook, Anthony Joshua, Kevin Mitchell and even Nathan Celverley involved, there should be a cracking atmosphere in one of the world's best boxing venues. Here are my previews for the best of the action tomorrow. We have a fabulous weekend of boxing to enjoy and the action kicks off tonight with Amir Khan fighting in New York against Manny Pacquiao victim, and former world champion Chris Algieri live from the Barclay's centre at around 0300 CET. Then on Saturday evening we have an absolutely stacked card from the O2 Arena in London as Eddie Hearn puts on another terrific show with a whole host of interesting fights including 3 world title fights involving 4 Brits. Headlining the bill is Kell Brook who defends his IBF Welterweight title against former world amateur champion, Frankie Gavin while 2 of our UK fighters in Kevin Mitchell and Lee Selby challenge Jorge linares and Evgeny Gradovich respectively for their world titles in 2 pick-em fights that could yet end up stealing the show. We also have Olympic Gold medalist and huge heavyweight prospect Anthony Joshua taking his first big step up in the heavyweight ranks as he takes on the loud mouthed braggart American, Kevin Johnson who has never been stopped in his career to date. I'm really looking forward to this "Rule Britania" card that Eddie Hearn has put together and it makes a nice change to actually have a proper night of boxing with at least 4 or 5 really watchable fights, including 3 world title fights involving 4 British fighters!. This is in complete contrast to the events that are held in the States where you might get 1 good fight if you're lucky and little attention is paid to making it a great evening's entertainment with a stacked card like this one. Britain really is leading the way now in the fight game and in Eddie Hearn we have a promoter who is bringing boxing back into the limelight, at least in the Uk. Here's my preview for the big fight tonight with a further preview to follow for all the action tomorrow. 3 games for us to look at tonight from Scotland, Germany and Holland, and they all come in the shape of first leg play-offs with Rangers hosting Motherwell in the first leg of their promotion play-off final with Motherwell while in Holland we have another first leg, this time for the Europa Leage play-offs as Heerenveen plays host to Vitesse. In Germany, we have another relegation play-off with Hamburg from the Bundesliga taking on Karlsruhe from the division below. The season is winding to a close but we should see some exciting action in the matches we have remaining from the major leagues (I know Scotland doesn't really count) and these 3 matches tonight should prove to be no different. Here are my brief previews, predictions and best bets! Great first half and with Bacca scoring and my other bets dead, I'm trying some correct scores.
0.5 points - sevilla to win 4.3 @14/1 0.5 Points - 3.3 draw @15/2 0.5 points - sevilla to win 4.2 @11/1 What a game! #goalsgalore Warsaw is the venue for the 2015 Europa League final as current champions Sevilla look to retain their crown against first time European finalists Dnipro from the Ukraine. Dnipro caused a big surprise (not at bobookies where we tipped them to qualify) by eliminating Napoli at the semi-final stage while Sevilla took care of business in style by dismissing Fiorentina comfortably over 2 legs and we should be set for a pretty good final here with Sevilla clear favourites. Let's take a closer look at the action from Warsaw tonight. Sunday and Monday

After Saturday's glory came Sunday's inevitable disappointments but it was still a marvellous weekend at boobookies with Saturday's 29 points of profit my finest day since the blog returned in March to send us soaring over 50 points of profit for the month. Sunday was one of my poorer days (a rarity thankfully) but it was a tough day to make profit with some surprise results including Stoke's shellacking of Liverpool although I did back the potters at 5/2 to get the win. I did consider them for a sexy single and of course I regret not following my instinct on that one. Still, I can't complain after Saturday and we have 2 big games to enjoy today as I look to get back to winning ways. It's the big play-off final in England as Middlesbrough and Norwich go head to head with a place in next year's Premier League up for grabs and the £150 million jackpot that comes with it with the action kicking off at 1600 CET with it being a UK bank holiday. I'm only working a half day here in Barcelona so I will be back in time to enjoy what is usually a dramatic affair and with these teams so evenly matched, I expect another exciting spectacle from Wembley. There a Rome derby as well to follow the action from London and we could be set for some pretty close match up's today. Let's take a brief look at both games. After the majesty of yesterday I would be within my rights to end the month now having punished the bookies yesterday to the tune of over 30 points profit but that wouldn't be much fun so I'm pulling out the crystal ball one more time. It's a big Sunday in England and Italy and after a lot of midweek studying, I feel more confident about my Italian bets with goals my obvious target. Here are Sunday's best bets! In amongst my day of winners yesterday, I still managed to suffer some painful defeats mixed with some remarkable luck as I tried some ridiculous correct score trebles as seen in the image to the left and below. With Barcelona leading 2.1 against Depor with just 15 minutes to go, I only needed a Barca goal to bring up a remarkable 4000/1 shot that I had 25 cents on. As you can see, rather than Barca scoring, Depor delivered to break my heart and deny me a ridiculous treble. Not only that but they broke a 4 fold 10/1 acca that was waiting on them to win by more than 1. Earlier in the day, i was even closer to landing a 1000/1 treble (as seen in the image below) as once again I landed 2 out of 3 correct scores in the games at Cologne and Paderborn but was denied by an 85th minute consolation from Bremen who pulled it back to 3.2 against Dortmund. This one was even more painful with the bookies offfering me a £100 euro cashout just moments before Werder struck. It truly was the most remarkable of days at bobreaksbookies as 5 out of my 7 bets landed on the day, with 14 out of 15 winning selections (not including my low stakes draws) finding the top corner of the net. It was a day of sensational results, lots of goals and stupendsous misfortune on a personal level as I missed out on a 4000/1 correct score treble by 1 goal and a 1000/1 treble also by 1 goal!!! I tweeted the photos of these images and I will post a separate piece on those remarkable results later. Having seen all my goals tips come up in the Germany games and waiting on the Spanish fixtures I sat down to watch the Real v Getafe game and as Getafe scored to make it 2.1, I had a vision of Real Madrid beating Eintracht Frankfurt 7.3 at Hampden all those years ago. Really. No bullshit. Ok, I had already started on the rums. So I put 50p on 7.3 Real at 40/1 and would you adam and eve it, Marcelo scored with the last kick of the game to bring up a remarkable correct score in play selection on day where almost everything i touched turned to gold. I backed Ronaldo to score 2 or more @6/5 and he went 1 better with 3 in the first half of a crazy fixture which Real finally won 7.3 of course. It really was, despite some near misses on a personal level with my pocket change, the most remarkable of days as 14 out of 17 suggested bets on the previews landed and on the day 14 out of 15 winning selections is the stuff dreams are made of. I even managed to predict 5 correct scores out of 19 matches! #Mysticbo is no joke. And Rangers qualified! So a pretty good day at casa de Bo. Here are all the results in full just in case you think I'm drunk at 4am (I may well be that, but the results are still real!) WHAT A DAY! It's the penultimate day in the Italian season and there are still some issues at the top of the table to be resolved with Champions League and Europa League positions still up for grabs but beyond that, most teams have little to play for and with Italy ripe for goals lately, I will be focusing purely on the BTTS and over 2.5 goal markets as I expect another day of open football and leaky defenses. There are 2 games in Holland as well with the 2nd legs of the Europa League play-offs bringing to a conclusion our best action for today. Here are my best bets for all the action in Italy and Holland. It's the last day of the Premier League season and the big issue left to be decided is the final relegation position with Hull needing to beat Man Utd to have any chance of survival. Newcastle need to match Hull's result to stay in the division and will be wary of the returning Sam Allaradyce and his West Ham side who travel to St James's for a potentially crucial fixture. There's a play-off final from Wembley to look at as well on this our last day of domestic league action in the UK for the season. :( Here are my previews, predictions and best bets for the final day of the season in England. After a lot of thought and studying, here are today's best bets for the Bundesliga and La Liga.
I have dropped Wolfsburg from my selections posted earlier. My apologies. Here are my best bets at 14.20 CET. It's the final day in the La Liga season and there are still some issues to be sorted out at both the bottom and the top of the table with relegation and Champions League places still to be decided. Valencia and Sevilla are battling it out for 4th place with Valencia just 1 point ahead as they travel to relegation threatened Almeria while Sevilla need to win their fixture at Malaga if they are going to sneak in the back door and into the Champions League qualifiers. It's tense at the bottom with 4 teams in danger of joining already relegated Cordoba in the Segunda division for next season and with 2 places still to be filled, it's going to be a tense evening in Spain for Eibar, Almeria, Deportivo and Granada. Head to head record is the separating factor should teams finish level on points which looking at the fixtures is possible and makes for an even more complicated scenario. Let's take a look at the fixtures that matter tonight in Spain. It's our last big weekend of league football and we still have lots of action to enjoy today with the concluding matches in the Bundesliga and La Liga as well as a crucial 2nd leg play-off fixture between Hibs and Rangers and a couple of evening games from Serie A. Here are Saturday's previews, predictions and best bets for the action in Germany, Italy and Scotland. I will post a separate preview for La Liga. There's 2 games from Holland to look at tonight as the first legs' of the Europa Leage play-offs take place with Heerenveen hosting Feyenoord and Vitesse travelling to Zwolle to take on PEC. The winners of each tie will gain entry into next season's Europa League and will be decided over the course of 2 legs, the first of which are tonight with the returns on Sunday and as it is the Dutch league, I'm hopeful of goals. Here are my previews, predictions and best bets. it was a remarkable night at bobookies as 2 out of my 3 games previewed finished exactly as predicted, with 2 correct score predictions, including my amazing tip of a 0.0 draw between Arsenal and Sunderland and a 1.1 draw in Rome between Juve and Lazio but despite all this, I still finished the night 0.2 points down.
I highlighted the previous history and the respective needs of both teams for the fixture in London and so it proved as Sunderland battled to the point they needed to secure their safety while Juventus needed extra time as they fought back from an early Lazio goal to win 2.1 The only game to let me down, was of course Rangers who surprised me with their display in a 2.0 first leg win over Hibs. In the end, It was an even night with Hibs failure to score blowing my deadly double but I did have 1 point on the draw at Arsenal to return 6 points but I do wish I had put something on my 16/1 bonkers bet of the 0.0 draw. Here are my results from last night and my overall totals for May. It's a big night in Glasgow with Rangers taking on Hibs in the SPFL play-off semi-final first leg while it should be a fine contest in the Italian cup final from Rome as Lazio host Juventus. I tipped up BTTS for the game in Glasgow tonight when the odds were 4/7 but they have since drifted to 5/6 which is a pretty sharp reverse although i'm not letting it put me off that bet. I'm focusing on these 2 matches for my best bets tonight and here they are! We have just 3 games to look at tonight but they are all important fixtures as the season reaches it's conclusion in the coming days. Rangers welcome Hibs to Ibrox in the SPFL Play-off semi-finals first leg while Sunderland need a point at Arsenal to ensure their Premier League survival and there should be fireworks (literally) as Juventus travel to Rome to take on Lazio in the Coppa Italia final as they look to secure the 2nd leg of a historic treble before their Champions League final on June 6th. |
