It was a rotten Saturday with Valencia's missed penalty costing me 10 points and probably 20 so I'm a bit downbeat today and the fixtures are not convincing me that redemption will be easy this afternoon.
I fancy goals in the FA Cup semi between Villa and Liverpool in what could be a closer encounter than the bookies anticipate while the Premier League fixtures are worth ignoring which is a shame. Super Sunday my arse. Overall, it's another tough card but I've done my studying and this is what I've come up with for some of today's games. It's been hard work getting these bets formed with a lot of tough fixtures to consider throughout Europe.
I'm expecting a great game in Barcelona today and with a huge clash at the Bridge and an FA Cup semi-final as well, it's going to be an exciting afternoon. I've not been too succesful on Saturday's recently and I put that down to the sheer volume of football that there is to consider and while I will continue to look at most of the fixtures, I will be looking to focus on a smaller group of matches.
There are 16 matches from my 4 favourite European Leagues and at a first glance, I will probably study the stats for about 5 or 6 and with 18 games in England to look at as well, it's difficult to find the time to actually analyse to a level that I am comortable with. Still, I know what I'm looking for and as ever, it's goals, goals, goals. Here are my predictions and best bets for Saturday afternoon's European football. Evening fixtures to follow. It's another busy weekend across Europe with just over a month of the domestic season to run and in England we have some huge matches to look at today.
Chelsea welcome Man Utd to The Bridge for a hugely important league clash with Chelsea closing in on the title and United looking to secure a top 4 position at the least. I'm confused as to why the FA Cup Semi between Reading and Arsenal has been scheduled for the same time and it's a real shame that the FA's flagship competition is being undermined by having such a big PL clash on at the same time. Surely it would be better for the prestige of the competition to restrict these ties to different days or at the very least to a time when there isn't a huge match like Chelsea v United kicking off at the same time. The Championship is absolutely fascinating this year with so many teams still in with a chance of automatic promotion or the play-offs and I've had quite a lot of success in recent days by focusing on the goal markets in this league, and that will be my focus again today. I just could not find the time to write the usual previews but here are my predictions and best bets for the best of today's action in England with all bets studied and standing up to statistical analysis although I really think this is a hard coupon today. Just 2 small stakes bets for tonight as I really have not had enough time to really look at these fixtures so while the stats back them up, I am only going to risk last night's 3 points of profit.
Here they are. Friday football is a bit of a distraction for bobookies with so much work needing to be done for all the weekend action, however there are some games to look at tonight and I will do my best to come up with some winners to get the weekend off to a flyer.
I will play with my 3 points of profit from last night as I look to keep the stakes low before the weekend with plenty of best bets to come over the coming days. Norwich welcome Middlesbrough to Carrow Road for a vital clash at the top of the Championship while there is action from the Bundesliga, La Liga, Eredivisie and Ligue un in France. Here are my previews, predictions and best bets for Friday It took some late goals in the games in Kiev and Seville to save the day for Bobreaksbookies as Seville scored an 88th minute winner which was quickly followed by a late equaliser for Fiorentina to bring up my BTTS selection.
This was an evening where I never really felt I had much chance with most of my selections stumbling but thankfully I got pretty lucky at the end to land my main bet of the day to give me just under 3 points of profit. Elsewhere, Wolfsburg were smashed 4.1 by Napoli while Bruge and Dnipro played out a goal-less draw on a night where 3 of the games had BTTS and I didn't pick 2 of them. Damn it. Overall it's pretty good when you have an ordinary night and still end up winning so I cannot complain. Here are tonight's results and my overall totals for the month (I had made a little accounting error with my totals yesterday, which has now been remedied) It's Europa League time. Hooray. Bo's Best Bets will make it interesting. Don't worry.
Here they are; My old favourite, the Europa League returns tonight with all 4 Quarter Final 1st leg ties taking place at 2105 CET.
It's been a pretty exciting tournament this year with plenty of goals and surprises, and there are no such issues over repetitive fixtures here with plenty of variety guaranteed in this tournament, although trying to find winners tonight could be a real challenge. Here are my previews, predictions and best bets for all 4 of the games, listed below. It was another terrific night of winners with 2 of my 3 deadly doubles landing, only to be denied a 3rd by PSG's disappointing defeat to Barcelona.
To be honest, just before kick-off, I got the feeling, that i had called it wrong and so it turned out with Barca comfortable winners. The early loss of Thiago Silva was a huge blow for the French side who never looked capable of stemming Barca's attacking threat. Still it was a great night everywhere else as most of suggested bets landed with only PSG and Burton letting me down. Watford won 2.1 at Forest to give me all 4 suggested bets (BTTS, OVER 2.5, Watford to win and Watford to score 2 or more) while I also tipped Porto not to lose and suggested BTTS if Jackson Martinez was fit to start. I picked out 10 selections from today's games in my earlier preview and hopefully with a bit of luck, my final selections will be the winners.
Here are today's selections with a reminder of my earlier shortlist of best bets. I'm playing with bigger stakes than anticipated but as The Dude might say "F*** it" Let's go bowling" 10 Points staked. 2 further Champions League Quarter Finals tonight with Bayern visiting Oporto to take on former champions Porto while Barcelona and PSG rematch once again with the first leg coming from Paris. I don't have quite the same enthusiasm for the Champions League this season due to a lack of British involvement and also what seems to be a never ending cycle of repetitive rematches. The competition really needs a new format as we are seeing far too many of the same matches being repeated year in and year out. This is the 3rd time in 2 years that these two sides have been drawn to face each other, which means 6 matches in less than 18 months, and while the previous ties have been exciting, it does begin to dilute the flavour of the competition when we are seeing the same fixtures over and over again. There are a couple of games from the Championship as well to consider with Forest v Watford and Fulham v Rotherham but it's a small card and I'm not convinced there is too much to go on tonight so states will certainly be smaller than last night. Here are my previews, predictions and best bets. It was a mixed night for bobreaksbookies as Atletico and Real played out a disappointing 0.0 draw in the Champions League Quarter Final first leg to break my first sexy single in a while.
In the Championship, most of my predictions were pretty good with Bournemouth and Norwich winning as expected, and had Brentford found the net at Shef Wed, it would have been a fine night full of profit. Still, I was relieved to see one of my doubles come home to ensure only a minimal loss for the evening. Here are last night's results in full and my results for April so far. Here are tonight's final selections and I'm bringing back my sexy single for Atletico and going for it with my stakes.
And here are my previews for the best of the action from the English Championship and with 10 games being played, I am looking at 5 of them to supply our best bets for tonight.
Here are the previews, predictions and best bets. The Champions League Quarter Final's get under way tonight and the fixture from Spain should be a cracker as we see a repeat of last season's final with Real and Atletico locking horns once again with the first leg coming from Ateltico's Vincente Calderon stadium. Juventus welcome Monaco to Turin in the evening's other quarter final tie and we have 10 games from the Championship in England as well on what is a pretty busy evening of football. I'm not going to look at all the Championship fixture as I want to focus my attention on fewer games so I will preview only the games I intend to bet on. Bet365 have their special in play offer for tonight's big European game with a risk free 25 euros (50 in the uk) bet available on the in play markets for Atletico v Real. All you have to do is place a pre-match bet, up to £50 on any pre match market and then they will give you a free bet to the same value to bet with during the match. My favourite approach here is to put your first 50 on over 0.5 goals in the game, at 1/14 odds, returning £54 and thus generating your free 50. You can cover the under 0.5 goal market by putting £5.50 on a 0.0 draw to cover, which guarantees you only lose a fiver at the most but you have generated a free £50 bet to use in-play. Simply put, the most you can lose is a fiver and for that fiver you are getting yourself a free £50 bet! It's a great offer and too good to miss out on. Feel free to tweet me if you have any queries or better yet, check the bet365 website! It should be a cracker and I fancy the hosts BIG time for this one. Here are my previews for the Champions League ties with a seperate preview to come for the English league action. It was a perfect night @bobreaksthebookies as both of my deadly doubles won with some style and a fair degree of comfort.
Valencia got the night off to the perfect start, scoring twice in the opening 35 minutes to secure the first leg in my second double and Ross County comfortably won 3.0 at St Mirren which was especially pleasing, given that I backed them in both of my doubles. Liverpool's win was pretty much as expected and with Ross having scored a late third to secure their win, I sacrificed half a point of profit by covering the small possibility of a late Newcastle goal with the scores at 2.0. Moments later and Sissoko saw red for the visitors which pretty much settled the match as a contest and allowed a fair degree of comfort for any of you waiting on the final whistle without the security bet. It's the kind of night I enjoy when I have more time to analyse a few games rather than the 15-20 that I study for a Saturday. Perhaps I will need to consider a change in my Saturday approach. Here are tonight's results and overall totals for March. Just the 3 games tonight in my coupon and I've gone with a couple of doubles.
Enjoy MNF and the excellent punditry on offer from messrs Carragher and Neville before a routine home win for Liverpool. I hope. Here are my best bets for Monday; It's a relatively quiet Monday night but we still have 3 top flight fixtures to consider including the Monday Night Football live from Sky as Liverpool entertain Newcastle at Anfield as well as an SPL fixture between a seemingly doomed St Mirren and on form Ross County and there's a La Liga fixture too, with Valencia welcoming Levante to the Mestalla. It has been a tough couple of days for bobreaksbookies, so I won't be going crazy with the stakes for these fixtures tonight. Here are my previews and suggested bets for Monday. If Saturday was simply disappointing, Sunday was something of a disaster as many of my selections won but not a single one of my best bets came through and we dropped about 15 points in 2 days.
I can hardly believe how many games I absolutely nailed without profiting this weekend. I called the win for Man Utd with BTTS and over 2.5 goals while In Spain I was spot on with my Sevilla v Barca preview and all 4 bets winning, the draw between Malaga and Ateltico and even Moenchengladbachs handsome win over Dortmund. I even managed to highlight 3 winning bets in the Bayern Munich fixture but I picked the 1 loser of my selections to cost me another 8 points but in the end, it was the games at QPR and especially Bordeaux that really cost me yesterday. Had we found the BTTS and over 2.5 selection in France then I would have won an extra 16 points and a further 7 if the QPR result had also delivered but in the end it was a lot of frustration for Bo to close out the weekend. i'm confident we are going to see a couple of good games on Sky today and those games will feature in my best bets as well as fixtures from Italy, Holland and France.
Here are today's final selections. It's another big day across Europe with the big game of the day coming from Manchester as United welcome City to Old Trafford in a crucial game in the race for a top 4 position.
I'm looking at Italy and Holland for my best bets as well as the Premier League but I'm giving the Bundesliga and La Liga a miss as the fixtureS don't hold much appeal. I will though take a look at Sociedad's fixture with Deportivo as I do expect a home win for Davie Moyes boys. I will be praying for some goals today, especially in the live Sky PL game, but it's not the most appealing card elsewhere and I'm gonna try out some draws today as well, and after a frustrating Saturday, we could do with a little bit of luck returning. I don't have time for big previews but all my selections have been analysed and considered and are supported by the stats. *All prices are taken from bet365 It's another big Saturday of action across Europe and I have lots of suggested bets to work through and find my best selections. It's not the easiest set of fixtures though but as ever, i remain confident of a good day having done a lot of studying yesterday.
I'm confident we will find goals in Munich and Seville today while the Premier League fixtures look as tricky as ever to predict. Here are today's best bets for all the action across Europe. Friday was better than Thursday as I landed my "tasty treble" thanks to a late Wigan equalizer and it would have been a better night if I had gone with Bournemouth or Bournemouth to score 2 as tipped up but sadly my BTTS failed to hit the net.
I was pretty pleased with predicting 3 correct scores out of 7 matches although the less said about Rangers, the better. Here are my results for Thursday and Friday's bets. |
