FRIDAY 20TH MARCH - GHOST GOAL BREAKS THE BOOKIES! - Scott Mcdonald scores phantom goal for Bo!20/3/2015
Well...I spoke about my luck changing and it certainly did tonight as Scott Mcdonald was awarded the 2nd goal by bet365 and various other sites despite, well, not scoring (as displayed in the image above)
He didn't score the 2nd, or the 1st, or the 3rd or even the 4th! Yet somehow, livescore, BBC and Flashscores all reported my lucky charm from down under Mcdonald as having scored the 2nd goal to bring up a fabulous double. I So with 6 games to look at tonight I have come up with 2 Deadly Doubles for small stakes with most of my attention drawn to a huge weekend of action with fixtures such as Liverpool v Man Utd and Barcelona v Real Madrid to look forward to.
Here are the Friday bets. After the glory of last night I will be saving my bets bets for tomorrow's action but there are 6 games across Europe to look at today and a few of them are worth considering for some bets tonight. I need to dedicate Friday's to my weekend research so it will be a low stakes day but let's see what tonight has in store for us. It was almost a perfect night for Bobookies as I landed 2 out of 3 "Deadly doubles" at odds of 6/1 and 7/2 with 5 out of my 6 suggested bets winning with only Besiktas letting me down for a clean sweep. Sevilla scored twice in the second half to bring up both of my doubles which had begun so well with BTTS in Kiev and Fiorentina's romp in Rome. I also picked BTTS in the San Siro and was only denied a 3rd treble as Besiktas threw away a 1.0 lead in the second half to lose 3.1 at home to Bruges. I have been successful in my last 2 Europa League nights with so many winning selections and I am going to give it a good go again tonight with some doubles. Here are my Europa League best bets. My sexy single finally got back to winning ways last night as Forest overcame Rotherham with a comfortable 2.0 win but it was the action in Barcelona that grabbed everyones attention and ultimately cost me from profiting on the night with my deadly double. Quite how that game finished 1.0 is beyond me and my BTTS and over 2.5 goals bet really should have been a winner when you consider the missed penalty for city and the remarkable performance of Joe Hart to limit Barcelona to the one goal. I would have won an extra 9 points had the BTTS and over 25 goals market ocurred here with the other part of my double (Forest to score 2 or more) coming in comfortably before half time. It was however an absolute masterclass from the best player in the history of the game as Lionel Messi controlled, bamboozled and dominated City all on his own for large chunks of the game and while I did not win any extra cash, it was a pleasure to watch such a genius at work. Bo's Super Single
Total Staked - 4.5 Points Potential Returns - 8.2 Points Forest to beat Rotherham @5/6 - won Bo's Deadly Double Total Staked - 3 Points Potential Returns - 9.33 Points Barcelona v Man City - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @5/6 - lost Forest to score 2 or more @4/6 - lost Bo's Deadly Double Total Staked - 1.5 Points Potential Returns - 9.75 Points Forest to score 3 or more @9/4 - lost Luis Suarez to score anytime @1/1 - lost Bo's Ambitious Tasty Treble Total Staked - 0.5 Points Potential Returns - 10.2 Points Juventus v Dortmund - draw @ 12/5 Barcelona to beat Man city and BTTS @ 7/5 Forest to beat Rotherham and over 2.5 goals @ 6/4 Overall staked - 9.5 Points Overall returned -8.2 Points Overall results for March - Sexy single - 3 winners, 9 losers (loss of 17.8 points) Deadly double - 6 winners, 11 losers, 3 void - (loss of 8.3 points) Tasty treble - 2 winners, 9 losers - profit of 1.6 points Tonight see's 2 potentially cracking ties in the Champions League as the last 16 stage draws to a conclusion. Man City travel to Barcelona needing to score at least 2 goals to progress while Dortmund host Juventus, trailing 2.1 from the first leg in Turin and while Barca are strong favourites, the tie in Dortmund is finely poisted and should be a cracking contest between 2 evenly matched sides. There are another 2 more games from the Championship tonight as free scoring Forest who done me at the weekend (thanks boys) by drawing their first blank in 10 games host struggling Rotherham while Fulham have a vital game in their battle to avoid relegation as they welcome Leeds to Craven Cottage. Here are the previews for tonight's action. I really need a turn in my fortunes tonight and I am looking for goals in my bets for the most part. I will also try a few different trebles and doubles and see how we get on. I'm about 20 points down now for the month which has been lost exclusively on the the not so sexy single with my doubles and trebles in profit so let's focus on those tonight and hope for some winners! #Bolievers
1.2 profit tonight. sigh. Should could and needs to be so much more.
Here are the results. I'm keeping the stakes low tonight with plenty of action to come in the next 6 days but I have a "Sexy Single and a "Deadly Double" on the two big games in England.
I've just had a look at the Daily Record's Mr Fixit's tips and he's gone with Bradford as well! The odds are definitely too good to ignore but not with crazy stakes. Here are today's Best Bets Sunday turned into a sad day for bobookies as Spurs delivered their worst performance of the season at OT as Man Utd turned in their best display of the season to break both of my doubles on the day.
It was a shocking performance from Spurs even if United did play well and in the end it was men against boys and United could have won by many more had they pushed for it in the second half. The fact it took 89 minute for the away side to even register a shot on target summed up the paucity of the Spurs display. Newcastle's failure to score at Everton denied me my tasty treble and I was pretty frustrated to have gone with the Spurs draw having ignored my Udinese pick. It's always fun to put on some small stake bets for big returns and in that spirit I am looking for draws and BTTS and win selections today.
Here are the final bets for Sunday. Sunday is my favourite day for bets and I am optimistic that there are goals in store for us today in some really good games from the Premier League with Man Utd v Spurs a possible cracker at 1700 CET.
I also like the looks of goals in games in Holland and a late night clash between Marseille and Lyon at 2100 CET. Here are today's Best Bets. And now the best of the rest from across Europe with a cracking contest in France tonight as two of the title challengers go head to head in the south of France with Marseille hosting Lyon in a game that historically delivers goals, goals,GOALS! Here are the suggested bets without previews but I can assure you, they have been studied :) It could have been worse yesterday but it could have been a whole lot better as well as once again my sexy single flopped only to be rescued by my deadly double. It seems clear that I am not having much luck with the singles and perhaps I should focus on doubles for the next few days. We shall see. Its a cracking looking Sunday across Europe with a number of games to consider but unfortunately there is no time to write previews for the games but here are my suggested bets to be followed by my final selections later. Bo's Suggested Bets for England, Holland and Germany; Here are all of my best suggested bets for the afternoon action which I will shape into my best bets to be posted around 3.00pm CET
I am concentrating on the UK action this afternoon so I will be giving the Bundesliga a miss in my best bets but I have still studied the action and here is what I have come up with if you do want to make a bet and there are 1 or 2 that really appeal. It's a busy day of action across Europe and with so much action to focus on, it can often prove a hard day to find winners so I am focusing my attention on the domestic action having been stung by my Bundesliga and Erredivisie bets last Saturday. My best bets will mostly be coming from the British isles with 6 Premier League games and 11 Championship games to look at. Here is my preview for the Premier League action tomorrow with 5 suggested bets. It was a mixed night for bobreaksbookies with a little bit of profit as 1 of my 2 "Deadly Doubles" landed but unfortunately the 2nd double was beaten by Monaco scoring 3 at home to Bastia.
I was bang on with my BTTS and over 2.5 goals in Holland and Valencia duly delivered by winning and also scoring 2 goals or more @8/15 however my Stuttgart outside tip was flattened by a rampant Leverkusen although it was a night where my 4 of my 5 strongest bets won although I do regret not sticking an extra point on the first double. Sill profit is profit and on we go to the big weekend. Here are my results for tonight. So it's Friday and the 13th so for the superstitious amongst you, betting would probably not be the best idea so it might be better to come back tomorrow morning. For the other more rationale types, we have plenty of action to sink your teeth into across Europe which I have previewed in my previous post. I have a few good bets picked out after I was able to do a decent amount of analysis today although as it is Friday, I won't be going crazy with the stakes. Here are tonight's best bets; |
