Arsenal pulled it off as tipped up @bobreaksbookies on a disappointing night where the only success was the continuation of my bank builder thanks to that late 2nd Arsenal goal. I don't think many of us would have backed The Gunners to keep a clean sheet but that they did to claim the win @3/1 odds. Sadly I tried a 3.2 win with my free £25 at bet365 at 28/1 odds. It was another poor midweek for goals in the Championship and I handed back 8 points to the bookies thanks to a real lack of BTTS in the division although the £132 returned thanks to Ozil in the Arsenal game came as a welcome relief. There were some good tips on the night, including BTTS at Leverkusen and Rotherham as well as my 3/1 tip of Arsenal to win but unfortunately it wasn't my night, although without that late Ozil goal, the "Bank Builder" would have been finished, but we move on to bet #5 with £132 generated from our initial £50 stake. I've previewed the three Championship fixtures on offer with a further preview to follow this afternoon for the Champions League and then finally I will post my "Best Bets" later in the afternoon. 19:45 Fulham vs Leeds - Prediction - 2.2 - BTTS @8/11, Over 2.5 goals @ 19/20 Key Facts * Fulham have seen BTTS in 8 out of 11 Championship fixtures this season (73%) * Fulham have seen BTTS in 7 of their last 9 home league fixtures but not in the last two (78%) * Fulham have kept only 2 clean sheets in their last 17 home league fixtures * 9 of Fulham's last 11 at home have gone over 2.5 goals * 8 of Leeds last 10 on the road have gone over 2.5 goals * Leeds have seen BTTS in 7 out of 11 - (64%) * Scotsman Steve Evans takes charge of his first Leeds fixture tonight following his surprise appointment after the sacking of German Uwe Rosler * Leeds have won only 2 of their last 12 league fixtures * Leeds have seen BTTS in 7 of their last 9 away league fixtures (78%) * Both sides have won only 1 of their last 5 league fixtures and are separated by just 2 points in the table * Leeds won 3.0 in last season's corresponding fixture * Leeds have kept only 1 clean sheet in 9 away fixtures since that win at Fulham in March * Leeds lost their last away match 3.0 at Middlesbrough, ending a 5 match unbeaten run on the road in the league Final Verdict - Can't pick a winner but BTTS looks good It's hard to know what to expect with Leeds especially under the management of the eccentric Steve Evans now in charge but I expect them to put in a decent showing and considering Fulham's record of conceding at home, there seems a good chance the visitors can score. Of course Leeds don't do many clean sheets themselves and I fancy this one has a good chance of seeing BTTS @8/11 as well as over 2.5 goals @19/20. ________________________________________________________________________________________ 19:45 - Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brentford - Prediction - 3.1, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @11/10, Wolves to score or more @8/11 Key Facts * Wolves have scored 2 or more in 10 of their last 13 home league fixtures * Wolves have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 home league fixtures but not in their most recent 2 * Wolves have failed to score in only 2 of their last 19 home fixtures. Wolves scored 2 or more in 12 of those 19 fixtures * Wolves have scored 8 goals in their last 3 league fixtures * Brentford have conceded 2 or more in 4 of their last 6 away league fixtures and in 7 out of 11 fixtures this season in the league * Brentford have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 5 away league fixtures * Brentford have won only 2 of their last 9 league fixtures * Brentford have conceded 18 in 11 league games with no clean sheets yet this season * Each of the last 3 meetings have gone over 2.5 goals with 1 seeing BTTS. * Wolves won 2.1 in last season's corresponding fixture Final Verdict - Wolves looking good for goals here Wolves are a good attacking side and Brentford haven't been in good defensive form so i'm confident about the hosts to score 2 or more @8/11 while the BTTS and overs selection has a decent chance with Wolves not especially tight at the back and Brentford capable of scoring on the road. ________________________________________________________________________________________ 19:45 Blackburn vs Derby - Prediction -1.2 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @8/11 Chris Martin to score anytime @11/8 Key Facts * Blackburn have lost only 1 of their last 8 home fixtures * Blackburn have won their last 2 at home while keeping clean sheets in 3 successive home fixtures * Blackburn have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 10 at home and 3 of their last 6 Championship fixtures * Blackburn have scored in 13 of their last 15 home fixtures * Derby won 3.2 in last season's corresponding fixture, also held on a Wednesday evening * Derby have won 5 of their last 6 Championship fixtures including 3 in a row on the road * Derby have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 on the road and in 7 of their last 9 Championship fixtures * Both sides are lead by on form Scottish strikers. Yeah really. Jordan Rhodes has 7 in his last 6 for Blackburn while Chris Martin has 6 in his last 7 for club and country * 3 of the last 4 meetings between these two sides have seen BTTS with Derby unbeaten in those 4 fixtures Final Verdict - BTTS has a good chance I fancy BTTS here but given last night's poor form in the Championship, it won't be one of my most confident picks of the day. Derby are in great form and I fancy them to edge to a 2.1 away win with Blackburn good at home but ultimately not quite as strong a side as the visitors who have a good recent history against the Rovers. Chris Martin is on fire and should be backed at 11/8 if you are interested in the anytime scorer markets tonight. Championship Suggested Bets Wolves vs Brentford - Wolves to score 2 or more Fulham vs Leeds - BTTS @8/11 Blackburn vs Derby - BTTS @8/11 Wolves vs Brentford - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @6/5 Fulham vs Leeds - Over 2.5 goals @19/20 Blackburn vs Derby - Chris Martin to score anytime @11/8 Comments are closed.
