After Sunday's heroics I'm following a similar plan tonight with goals the focus in the Champions League and Championship fixtures on offer. It won't be easy to match the 4 winning bets and 10 out of 10 selections tonight but I'm keeping the faith and optimistic that tonight can be another good night of profit. The stakes are the same as they were for Sunday but I do expect to do less on Wednesday and Thursday with the bulk of my weekly stakes reserved for the weekends. Considering my recent form, I am going to allocate 25-30 points for the weekend and no more than 20 for the midweek, depending on the fixtures but my intention is to use the bulk of my betting bank on the days I have the most success on and those have certainly been on Saturday's and Sunday's this season. That being said, there is some good form to go on and I do like the bets picked out for tonight with 7 fixtures picked out for my analysis including a cracking tie in London as Arsenal welcome on song Bayern to the Emirates in a must win match for the Gunners. Bet 365 are also doing their free £50 in play offer on that fixture and I will post a suggested bet for that later in the day and following a bit of a hiatus, I have the third installment of my bank builder lined up. Here's what I've got for the Champions League with a preview to follow shortly for the Championship. Champions League
19:45 Arsenal vs Bayern Munich - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @5/6, Arsenal to win @3/1 Key Facts * Arsenal have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in 7 in their last 9 CL fixtures and in 4 of their last 5 home Champions League fixtures * Arsenal have scored 15 goals in their last 5 fixtures, winning 4 of those games * Arsenal have lost only 4 of their last 26 at home although 2 of those were in the Champions League * Alexis Sanchez has scored 7 goals in his last 4 games for Arsenal * Petr Cech will start his first CL fixture with David Ospina ruled out through injury * Bayern have won all 11 fixtures so far this season, scoring 37 goals in the process * Bayern have lost 3 of their last 5 CL away fixtures although they did win 3.0 at Olympiakos on match day 1 * The German champions have won only 3 of their last 9 away CL fixtures * 3 of Bayern's last 6 on the road in the CL have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals * Bayern have won on their last two visits to Arsenal (2.0 and 3.1) Team News * David Ospinia, Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky, Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta are all missing through injury. * Arjen Robben is still missing for Bayern but Robert Lewandowski will start. * Mario Gotze was injured playing for Germany while Franck Ribery and Mehdi Benatia are still missing. Douglas Costa is also a doubt for the Germans. Final Verdict - BTTS likely in potentially exciting contest Much depends on which Arsenal turns up for this big match with Bayern and I have a feeling we might see the good Arsenal for this must win fixture against an imperious Bayern. Arsenal have been in fine form but just when you think you can rely on them, they usually throw in a shambolic performance, particularly it seems when I decide to back them. They are undoubtedly my bogey team and I should really continue to resist backing them in any shape or form. However, if Gunners boss Arsene Wenger actually decides to pick his best team, and they put in the kind of performances they have of lately. then they can push Bayern to the limit in what I expect to be a really exciting contest. Arsenal have to win having lost 2 out of 2 so far in the Champions League and while that doesn't mean they will win, I expect them to score and push Bayern hard with Alexis Sanchez in particularly fine form of late. Pep Guardiola says Arsenal "have an advantage because they have to win". Guardila coninued "When that happens with these kind of players, and the history of this club, they are going to make the best performance possible. "I don't expect anything other than a fight for the 90 minutes. I can imagine my team with zero points and playing in Germany against Arsenal. "I can imagine the mentality of my team - we would be an animal because it is our last chance." Mind games? perhaps, but he is right in one sense, and I do expect a big performance from Arsenal BTTS is expected at 8/15 and I'll take that but there's no way Arsenal will settle for a 1.1 draw so I expect plenty of chances at both ends and BTTS and over 2.5 goals is also likely @5/6 while an Arsenal win looks big at 3/1. Yes Bayern are in great form but this Arsenal team can beat anyone on their day and I just have a feeling this could be a good night for them with the Gunners putting in some top displays lately. Cue horrible 2.0 away win. I have jinxed Arsenal, so be wary... ________________________________________________________________________________________ 19:45 Dinamo Zagreb vs Olympiakos - Prediction 2.1 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @ 5/6, Zagreb to win @7/4 Key Facts * Dinamo have not lost at home in the Croatian National League since 2010, a remarkable 88 games without defeat * Dinamo have seen BTTS in all 4 home CL fixtures this season (including qualifiers) and in 8 of their last 11 home fixtures * Dinamo have seen BTTS in each of their last 8 home European fixtures * Dinamo have won 7 of their last 10 fixtures * Olympiakos have won only 4 of their last 18 away CL fixtures although they did beat Arsenal 3.2 in their most recent CL contest * Olympiakos have drawn only 2 of their last 26 away CL fixtures. * Olympiakos have won 8 of their last 9 fixtures * Olympiakos have kept only 2 clean sheets in their last 15 away CL fixtures Final Verdict - Goals and a home win? I fancy the home win on a small win line but BTTS is my main bet here and this one has a good chance at a decent price with Zagreb seeing BTTS in 8 of their last 8 home European fixtures. Olympiakos are in great form and look likely to score but Zagreb's record at home is formidable and they should be good enough to avoid defeat so I'm going for BTTS @5/6 and a home win wouldn't shock me @7/4. ________________________________________________________________________________________ 19:45 Bayer Leverkusen vs Roma - Prediction 2.1 - Suggested Bets - BTTS 4/5, Leverkusen to win @19/20 Key Facts * Bayer have won 6 of their last 8 home CL fixtures * Only 2 of those 8 saw BTTS * Bayer have kept 2 clean sheets in their last 6 home fixtures * Bayer have only lost 1 of their last 15 home fixtures * Bayer have won 12 of those 15 fixtures * Bayer have not conceded more than 1 goal in any 1 fixture since conceding 5 at home to Wolfsburg in February * Bayer are without a win in 3 and have only won 3 of their last 9 fixtures * Roma have seen BTTS in 9 of their last 10 fixtures * Roma have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 away fixtures * Roma have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 away CL fixtures * Roma have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in their last 6 fixtures with 28 goals scored in those 6 fixtures * Roma have won only 1 of their last 10 away CL fixtures * Roma have not kept a clean sheet in 18 away CL fixtures * Roma have conceded 7 in their last 3 away fixtures Team News * Charles Aranguiz and Roberto Hilbert are missing for Leverkusen while Lars Bender, Kevin Kampl, Tin Jedvaj and Omer Toprak are all doubts, though Kampl has the best chance to start * Edin Dzeko is doubtful for Roma while Francesco Totti, Kevin Strootman, Seydou Keita and Elio Capradossi are all out for the Romans. Final Verdict - Goals likely when Roma are involved This looks like a tough fixture to call with Leverkusen not in the best of form but they have a fine home record in this competition lately while Roma always concede on the road in this tournament with their last clean sheet coming in 2007. BTTS has to have a chance, even if Leverkusen aren't prolific in the market with Roma seeing BTTS and over 2.5 goals in each of their last 6 fixtures. I quite fancy the home win @19/20 but Roman's goal record lately and historically suggests BTTS @4/5 is the safer bet in this fixture. ________________________________________________________________________________________ 19:45 Bate vs Barcelona - Prediction 1.3- Suggested Bets - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @ 13/10 Key Facts * BATE have seen BTTS and over 4.5 goals in both CL fixtures this season * BATE beat Roma 3.2 in their last home CL fixture but lost 4.1 in Leverkusen * BATE secured their domestic title on Friday and will be in confident mood with only the CL to focus on now * Barca have conceded 10 goals in their previous 5 games, with no clean sheets in 8 * Barca have only kept 1 clean sheet in their last 7 away fixtures * Barca have kept only 4 clean sheets in their last 15 away CL fixtures Final Verdict - Leaky Barca likely to win and concede Barcelona are still missing Leo Messi but Neymar is doing his best impression of the Argentinian with 4 goals in their 5.2 weekend win over Rayo at the Camp Nou. You have to expect the Catalans to get the win here but considering their defensive issues of late, BATE are capable of scoring and the BTTS at 10/11 is fine but I can't see past an away win so I'll try BTTS and over 2.5 goals @13/10 while Barca to win and BTTS looks good at 15/8 ________________________________________________________________________________________ Champions League Suggested Bets Arsenal vs Bayern Munich - BTTS @8/15 Arsenal vs Bayern Munich - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @5/6 Arsenal vs Bayern Munich - Arsenal to win @3/1 Dinamo Zagreb vs Olympiakos - BTTS @ 5/6 Dinamo Zagreb vs Olympiakos - Dinamo Zagreb to win @7/4 Bayer Leverkusen vs Roma - BTTS 4/5 Bayer Leverkusen vs Roma - Bayer Leverkusen to win @19/20 BATE vs Barcelona - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @13/10, Barcelona to win and BTTS at 15/8 Other fixtures and predictions without my Key Facts (for those who want them) Dinamo Kiev vs Chelsea - Prediction 0.1 - Suggested Bet - Chelsea to win @9/5 Zenit vs Lyon - Prediction 2.1 - Suggested Bet - Zenit to win @10/11 Share the Tips!
