As promised, part 2 of our weekend preview with 3 games covered extensively as well as my bank builder suggested bets. #BOlieve 14:00 Udinese vs Sassuolo
Prediction - 1.2 Best Bets – Sassuolo to score @2/5, BTTS @4/5 Key Facts
Final Result Udinese v Sassuolo – BTTS @4/5 – Implied Probability =55% Udinese vs Sassuolo – Sassulo to score @2/5 – Implied Probability – 71% Final Verdict Sassuolo are goal-scoring specialists on the road and with a 94% success rate of scoring in away fixtures in the last 2 years, I have to take them @2/5 to score against an Udinese side that have kept only 2 clean-sheets in their last 11 home fixtures. BTTS also looks to have a good chance with Sass particularly strong in this and the over 2.5 goals scored market with over 90% of their away fixtures seeing BTTS and just over 70% also going over 2.5 goals. Udinese have not been so prolific of late but 5 of their last 8 at home have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored while they have only failed to score in 2 of their last 15 at home so the stats would suggest that BTTS is more likely than not. 4/5 is the price on offer for BTTS while the 2/5 on Sass to score can be added to another short-priced selection to form a confident even shot double. Best Bets – Sassuolo to score @2/5, BTTS @4/5 17:00 Roma vs Torino Prediction – 3.1 Best Bets – Roma to score 2 goals or more @4/9, BTTS @4/6, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @10/11 Key Facts
Final Result Roma to score 2 goals or more @4/9 = Implied Probability of 69% BTTS @4/6 = Implied Probability of 60% BTTS and over 2.5 goals @10/11 = Implied Probability of 52% Final Verdict Roma have a sensational home record and I fully expect the home win with at least 2 goals scored, as has been the case for the majority of the season. Roma to score 2 goals or more @4/9 and it looks like a pretty solid selection to me with Roma scoring 39 goals in their last 14 home fixtures (average of 2.8 per game) and 2 or more in 79% of all home league matches this season. Torino though are a decent side on their day and despite some poor away results of late, I fancy them to score against a Roma side that will perhaps be feeling the effects of their Thursday night Europa League tie at Villarreal. If past history is anything to go on, there is more than a decent chance of a home win with BTTS. 4 of the last 6 meetings in Rome have seen that outcome and given the home sides form, we can be very confident they will keep up their end of the bargain with Roma scoring 3 goals or more in 10 of their last 14 successive home wins. As for Torino, well they have a striker in fine form with Andrea Belotti scoring 11 goals in his last 12 league fixtures including 4 in his last 5 away fixtures and while they are unlikely to stop Roma from winning, I do fancy them to score, as they have done in 4 of their last 6 losing visits to Rome. The implied probability for BTTS is 60% which is not especially generous considering the form and stats for both sides this season but historically this is a fixture that usually delivers in the goal markets and I’m backing it to happen again here which makes the final selection of BTTS and over 2.5 goals hard to ignore as well. BEST BETS – Roma to score 2 or more @4/9, BTTS @4/6, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @10/11 14:00 Chievo vs Napoli Prediction – 0.2 Best Bets – Napoli to score 2 or more @4/7, Mertens to score anytime @1/1 Key Facts
Final Result Napoli to score 2 goals or more @4/7 = Implied Probability of 63% Mertens to score @1/1 = Implied Probability of 50% Final Verdict – 2 goals or more for the visitors Napoli are in tremendous form lately and while Chievo have picked up in their last 3 fixtures, I can’t see them stopping a Napoli side that have scored 19 goals in only their last 5 away fixtures. Historically, this isn’t an easy trip for Napoli but I expect their current from to be strong enough to not only lead them to the 3 points but also in scoring at least 2 goals in the process @4/7 odds. The 4/7 odds on Napoli to score 2 or more suggests that Napoli are only 63% likely to score 2 or more but with the visitors scoring 2 or more in 72% of their away matches all season, and 19 goals in their last 5 on the road, you would have to give them a good chance to continue that run here at a Chievo side that have conceded 2 goals or more in 4 of their last 9 at home. The hosts have been especially poor in 2 of their last 3 at home, conceding 4 to Atalanta and 3 to Fiorentina and given that neither of those sides are nearly as prolific as Napoli, I have to feel the visitors will get at least 2 goals in what should be another 3 points for the Neapolitans as they look to extend their unbeaten run to 14 games.
