Saturday brings us a big card from across Europe but I am narrowing my selections and focussing on a select group of matches for my bets tomorrow. I have previews for the matches that will feature in my best bets and some predictions for the ones that won't, mainly because I want to spend my time on fewer matches as I always seem to win on the nights when I have fewer games to choose from. I have picked out 3 games from the Premier League and 3 from the Championship that will more than likely form the basis of my best bets to be posted later today.
Here are my suggested bets for the games in question. Premier League 16:00 Newcastle United vs Arsenal - Arsenal to win @3/5 i read the script for Arsenal's win in Monaco and I expect them to pick up the points against a rudderless Newcastle. While I am not yet certain how confident I should be in a team that generally mess up when i put my money on them. Will this be in my best bet's ? probably somewhere but it's not my favourite pick for today. 16:00 Tottenham vs Leicester - Prediction 3.1 - BTTS 8/11, Over 2.5 @,13/20, Spurs to score 2 or more @4/7 The stats all point to each of the 3 bets listed here and I will probably pick the BTTS and Spurs to score 2 or more in my final selections. Whoscored.com have identified some stats that make compelling reading for this one; 1) There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Tottenham's last 10 games in the Premier League. 2) Tottenham have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 9 matches against Leicester in all competitions. 3) Leicester have conceded at least 2 goals in 10 of their last 11 away matches in the Premier League. 4) Tottenham have scored at least 2 goals in their last 5 home matches in the Premier League. 5) Tottenham are undefeated in their last 9 home matches in the Premier League. 6) Leicester have failed to win 12 of their last 13 away matches in the Premier League and finally, Leicester have scored in their recent visits to Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal and with both sides desperate for 3 points, this should be an open, attacking game where Spurs score 2 or more and Leicester have every chance to hit the net once at least. 16:00 Stoke vs Crystal Palace - Prediction 2.1 - BTTS @6/5 and Stoke to win @ 6/5 I'm not banking on the BTTS here but I do think the price is very attractive. Stoke are strong at home, winning 4 of their last 6 and Palace are better on the road so I think the BTTS has a chance with Stoke just edging it in the end. Championship 16:00 Blackpool vs Leeds - Prediction 0.3 - Best Bet - Leeds to win @1/1, Leeds to score 2 or more @6/5 Blackpool are already doomed to relegation and with a fans protest planned tomorrow, I can see nothing other than an away win for an on form Leeds who are fantastic value at 1/1 odds for this one. Blackpool have lost their last 6, and sit 18 points from safety while Leeds have won 5 from their last 6, including a fine 3.0 win in midweek at Fulham. They should be too strong for a team that seem to have given up the ghost and considering the scheduled protest and non attendance by a large group of fans, I feel the mood around the ground will result in a heavy beating for the home side. 16:00 Watford vs Ipswich - Prediction 3.1 = Best Bets = Watford to win @ 23/20, BTTS and over 2.5 @ 21/20, watford to score 2 or more 10/11 Much like the Spurs game, the stats are compelling for the bets I have highlighted and I particularly like the 23/20 on offer for Watford to win. Thanks to whoscored.com for these little nuggets; 1)Watford have won 8 of their last 9 home matches against Ipswich in all competitions. 2)Watford have won 6 of their last 7 home matches in Championship. 3) Watford have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 3 home matches in Championship. 4) Ipswich have lost 5 of their last 6 away matches in Championship. 5) Watford have seen over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 home matches against Ipswich in all competitions. 6) Watford have scored at least 2 goals in 6 of their last 7 home matches against Ipswich in all competitions. 7) Watford have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches in Championship. 8) Ipswich have conceded at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 away matches in Championship 16:00 Norwich vs Nottingham Forest Prediction 2.2 - BTTS @4/5 Norwich will be looking to get back on track with a home win here but they come up against a Forest side that while letting me down last weekend, have been on fine form and I am looking at the BTTS market for this one. 2 key stats for this one; Norwich have scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 10 matches in Championship while Nottingham Forest have also scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 10 matches in Championship. Will they both continue that tomorrow? quite possibly and I am going with BTTS @ 4/5 Comments are closed.
