I've picked out 4 fixtures from the Premier League for my detailed analysis and here's what I've come up with for Saturday. Premier League 12:45 Tottenham vs Liverpool - Prediction - 1.1 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @4/6 Key Facts * Spurs are unbeaten in their last 5 home league fixtures, winning 3 and drawing twice * Spurs have seen BTTS in 8 of their last 13 PL home fixtures * Tottenham are unbeaten in 7 Pl matches, winning 3 of their last 4 * Tottenham have lost just twice in 17 PL fixtures at White Hart Lane going back 10 months * Eric Dier is suspended for Spurs with Ryan Mason expected to return in his place while new signing Son Heung-Min is injured * Jurgen Klopp takes charge of his first fixture since the dramatic departure of Brendan Rodgers with the German promising "full throttle football" and a very attack minded approach * Klopp has been rocked with the loss of both Ings and Gomez for the remainder of the season while Roberto Firmino, Christian Benteke and captain Jordan Henderson remain sidelined for Liverpool. * Liverpool have seen BTTS in each of their last 7 fixtures * Liverpool have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 6 away PL fixtures and in each of their 4 most recent PL fixtures * Liverpool have won each of their last 5 meetings with Spurs, scoring 18 goals in the process * 5 of the last 8 meetings at White Hart Lane have seen BTTS * Each of the last 6 meetings have gone over 2.5 goals Final Verdict All eyes will be on Jurgen Klopp who takes charge of his first game in the BT Sport live lunch time kick-off in what could be a potentially exciting encounter with the German sure to generate plenty of headlines on the day and in the coming months. It remains to be seen what formation or style Klopp will adopt here but he has promised "rock and roll" football at Anfield and whatever happens, it's surely going to be an exciting time for Liverpool and the Premier League with the arrival of this charismatic and amiable German. There's no doubt that the former Dortmund boss has one of, if not the biggest personaities in football management and the expectation surrounding his arrival hasn't been seen since the 2004 introduction of the self-anointed "Special one" Jose Mourinho to these shores. Klopp has much to live up to, despite proclaiming himself to be the "Normal one" but I expect his team to take a big lift from his arrival both in the short and long term and they should put in an aggressive and high energy performance for the new gaffer on his Premier League introduction. Still, Spurs are in good form, thumping Man City 4.1 in their last home fixture and while their recent form against Liverpool is awful, I expect the confidence taken from the City result to inspire them to another good performance here and this could end up being a real end to end battle. Liverpool's players will be desperate to impress their new boss while Spurs will be eager to atone for some really bad results in recent seasons against the Anfield side, none more so than last season's 3.0 reverse in the corresponding fixture but Liverpool are now missing a number of key players and Klopp will be praying that the likes of Sturridge and Coutinho can remain fit in the coming weeks. I expect Spurs to continue their recent improvements but Liverpool well be well up for this so I'm backing BTTS @4/6 and while this fixture usually goes over 2.5 goals, I just have a feeling it might finish 1.1 so I'll stick with BTTS here even if there are definite indicators this one could go over. Ultimately it's tough to call but BTTS looks the safest bet for me. 15:00 Southampton vs Leicester - Prediction - 3.2- Suggested Bets - BTTS @8/11, Southampton to score 2 or more @8/13, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @11/10 Key Facts * Southampton have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 6 home PL fixtures * There have been over 3.5 goals in each of Saints last 3 PL fixtures. All 3 also saw BTTS * Southamptons last 6 home PL fixtures have produced 26 goals * Southampton have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 6 home PL fixtures * Southampton have lost just 1 of their last 6 PL fixtures * Southampton have scored 2 or more in 7 of their last 8 home PL fixtures * Leicester have conceded 2 or more in 4 out of 8 PL fixtures this season including 3 of their last 4 * Leicester have conceded 15 goals in 8 PL fixtures so far this season * Leicester have seen BTTS in each of their last 11 fixtures and their last 9 PL fixtures * Leicester have seen BTTS in 7 of their last 9 away fixtures and in 6 of their last 8 away PL fixtures * Leicester have scored in 19 of their last 20 fixtures in all competitions since March * Leicester have scored in 15 of their last 17 away fixtures in all competitions * Leicester have lost only 2 of their last 17 PL fixtures Final Verdict - Goals likely in open contest on the south coast The stats speak for themselves here and I fancy another open and exciting contest between two teams who are involved in a lot of high scoring fixtures lately with Leicester in particular very reliable in the BTTS market. Southampton's last 6 home fixtures have seen 26 goals while Leicester last 9 PL fixtures have seen a whopping 38 goals so I can't see past my favourites of BTTS @ 8/11 and BTTS and over 2.5 goals as a combo @11/10 in a fixture that promises to be attacking and exciting from the get-go. I fancy Saints to score 2 or more @8/13, with Leicester leaky at the back and Southampton really coming into form. Leicester have not kept a clean sheet yet this season and when you consider that this looks like their hardest away fixture yet, it could be a tough day for Leicester. The Saints have been in in great goal-scoring form with 14 goals in their last 4 games, including fixtures against Man United and Chelsea. Southampton have scored 2 or more goals in their last 3 games at home and in 7 of their last 8 and I'm backing them to repeat the feat here in a game that has to produce goals. 15:00 Crystal Palace vs West Ham - Prediction - 2.1 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @4/5 Key Facts * Palace have kept just 2 clean sheets in their last 20 home PL fixtures * 13 of those 20 (65%) fixtures also saw BTTS - * Palace have won 11 of their last 18 PL fixtures including 5 out of 8 so far this season * Palace have won their last 2 PL fixtures to move into 4th position in the league * Palace have not drawn any of their last 21 PL fixtures * Palace saw BTTS in their first 4 PL fixtures but not in their last 4 * West Ham have scored 2 goals or more in their 4 away PL fixtures so far * West Ham have remarkably won at Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City already this season. They were held 2.2 at Sunderland in their last away fixtures * West Ham have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 7 PL fixtures * Last season's two meetings between these two sides finished 3.1 to the away side in both fixtures Final Verdict This is another fixture where picking a winner doesn't look easy but goals look likely on account of both sides recent form and Palace's issue with keeping clean sheets at home with only 2 in their last 20 in the PL at Selhurst Park Both sides like to play on the counter but Palace are improving on their own patch and are starting to dictate games and not rely solely on their pacey counters. West Ham on the other hand have performed tremendously to win at three of the biggest venues in English football but this is a different test against Palace and it remains to be seen if Bilic's men have the set-up to go and control a game of football. I fancy BTTS and over 2.5 goals here with a winner likely considering Palace haven't drawn in over 20 PL fixtures while last season's two fixtures both saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals with each side recording a 3.1 away win and I fancy something similar here with Palace the more likely, at least in my eyes, to get the 3 points. 15:00 Everton vs Manchester United - Prediction - 2.1 - Suggested Bets - Everton draw no bet @5/4, Everton to win @12/5, Everton not to lose @4/6 Key Facts * Everton have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 fixtures * Everton have lost just 1 of their last 10 fixtures and are unbeaten in 7 in all comps * Everton thumped Chelsea 3.1 and drew 1.1 with Liverpool in their last 2 home fixtures * 2 of Man Utd's last 3 away fixtures has seen BTTS * Man United have lost 4 of their last 8 away PL fixtures, winning only 8 in 23 under Louis Van Gaal * However hey did record a 3.2 win at Southampton in their last outing * United have conceded 6 goals in their last 3 away games * Only 2 of the last 9 meetings between these two sides have seen BTTS * Everton have won each of the last 3 meetings at Goodison * Everton have lost only 1 of the last 7 meetings at Goodison Final Verdict - Everton have every chance here at a big price Historically Everton have done really well in this fixture and given their recent form and United's disappointing away results, I really fancy the home side to win and certainly not to lose so the options of 4/6 on Everton not to lose, 5/4 on draw no bet and 12/5 on a home win all look good to me with Man Utd still not really impressing on the road. On paper it looks like a BTTS fixture but historically it hasn't been the case with just 2 of the last 9 meetings going that way so I'll stick with Everton not to lose @4/6 as my best bet here as I really fancy the home side to go right at United and the 12/5 on a home win looks way too big as well. PL Suggested Bets Tottenham vs Liverpool - BTTS @4/6 Southampton vs Leicester - BTTS @8/11, Southampton vs Leicester - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @11/10 Southampton vs Leicester - Saints to score 2 or more @8/13 Crystal Palace vs West Ham - BTTS @4/5 Everton vs Manchester United - Everton or Draw @4/6 Everton vs Manchester United - Everton draw no bet @5/4 Comments are closed.
