Here are my previews and "Suggested Bets" for the Championship on Saturday with 5 matches picked out for a detailed analysis. These "Suggested Bets" are for anyone looking to build their own coupons and selections for the weekend while I will, as ever, post my final "Best Bets" on Saturday morning for all the matches covered throughout the UK and beyond. Championship 15:00 Preston vs Cardiff - Prediction - 1.1 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @5/6, Draw @23/10 Key Facts * Preston have seen BTTS in their last 6 fixtures including 5 in a row in the league * Preston have seen BTTS in 4 successive home Championship fixtures * Preston have drawn 3 out of their 6 home fixtures this season * Preston are without a win in 8 league fixtures * Preston have scored in 22 of their last 23 home fixtures * Cardiff have seen BTTS in 16 of their last 18 away league fixtures, including each of their last 11 on the road since March as well as all 5 away fixtures this season * Cardiff have seen BTTS in 9 of their last 12 league fixtures * Cardiff have just 2 clean sheets on the road in 2015 * Cardiff have drawn 3 of their last 5 away league fixtures Final Verdict - BTTS in even game at Deepdale The stats are certainly pointing to BTTS with both sides in good form in the market. Cardiff have seen BTTS in 11 successive away league fixtures and a repeat is likely here given Preston's record of scoring at home. BTTS is generous at 5/6 while the draw is priced @23/10. The visitors are in the better form but they have only won 1 of their 5 away fixtures so far and with three 1.1 draws already this season, this could be another with Preston seeing that score-line in 2 fixtures so far this season. To put that into context, these two sides have played 20 fixtures so far and 5 have finished in 1.1 draws. 1.1 is a 5/1 chance. It might not be a goal-fest but BTTS is tasty @5/6 considering especially the away record of Cardiff in the market and that's my best bet here 15:00 Milton Keynes Dons vs Blackburn - Prediction -2.2 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @4/6, Draw @5/2 Key Facts * MK Dons have seen BTTS in their last 4 Championship fixtures and in their last 2 home league fixtures * MK Dons have seen BTTS in 3 out of 5 home fixtures in all competitions this season * MK Dons have lost 5 of their last 6 Championship fixtures * MK Dons have lost 4 out of 5 home Championship fixtures * Blackburn have won only 3 of their last 21 away Championship fixtures * Blackburn have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 away Championship fixtures and in 17 of 23 on the road in the last 12 months * Blackburn have kept just 4 clean sheets in their last 35 away Championship fixtures * Blackburn have drawn 12 of their last 21 away league fixtures including 6 of their most recent 8 * 3 of those 6 draws finished with the same 2.2 scoreline Final Verdict Blackburn don't do many clean sheets on the road and I like the BTTS possibility here @4/6 while a draw has every chance considering Blackburn's penchant for drawing matches on their travels with more than half of their away games (12 in 21) finishing even. 15:00 Middlesbrough vs Fulham - Prediction 3.1- Suggested Bets - Boro to score 2 or more @4/7, BTTS @5/6 Key Facts * Fulham have scored in their last 11 away fixtures including 10 on the road in the Championship since the start of March * 8 of Fulham's last 10 away league fixtures have seen BTTS * 5 of Fulham's last 6 have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals * Fulham have seen BTTS in 10 of their last 12 league fixtures * Fulham have scored 7 goals in their last 3 away league fixtures * Fulham have scored 13 goals in their last 6 league games and 23 in their last 12 * Fulham beat Middlesbrough 4.3 in a thrilling match in their most recent contest in April that ended 'Boros automatic promotion hopes * Fulham have conceded 2 or more in 4 of their last 6 away league fixtures with 13 conceded in those 6 fixtures * Middlesbrough have won 16 of their last 21 home league fixtures including 4 of their last 5 with just 3 defeats * 'Boro have scored 2 or more in all 4 of those recent wins with 11 goals scored in the process * 'Boro have scored 2 or more in 15 of their last 20 home league fixtures with 39 goals scored in the process * 'Boro have seen BTTS in only 1 of their last 8 home contests Final Verdict - Goals likely at the Riverside Middlesbrough are a tremendous home side that usually score 2 or more and given Fulham's leaky defence, I expect that pattern to continue here with the home side 4/7 to score 2 or more. Fulham can score though, given their recent results, especially on the road but it is worth nothing that 'Boro don't usually do BTTS at home however this fixture could be the exception to the rule with the Londoners scoring in their last 11 away fixtures but rarely keeping clean sheets. BTTS is 5/6 and that looks reasonable to me despite Boro's poor ratio in the market but I fancy the visitors can score although the hosts should get back to winning ways in a fixture that may well produce a few goals. 15:00 Reading vs Charlton - Prediction - 3.1 - Reading to score 2 or more @8/11, BTTS @11/10 Key Facts * Reading have won 5 of their last 6 Championship fixtures * Reading have scored 2 or more in all 5 of those wins with 14 goals scored overall * Reading recorded an impressive 2.0 win over leaders Middlesbrough in their last home fixture * Charlton have failed to win in 6 Championship fixtures, losing 4 and drawing twice * Charlton have conceded 2 or more in 5 of their last 6 league fixtures * Charlton have lost their last 3 away league games, conceding 7 goals in the process * Charlton have lost 4 of their last 5 fixtures, conceding 13 goals in the process * Charlton have failed to win any of their last 9 away league games * Charlton did win both of last season's meetings between these two sides but current form certainly rests with the home side * Charlton have seen BTTS in 10 of their last 12 fixtures and in 5 of their last 7 away fixtures * Reading have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 8 fixtures Final Verdict - Home win and 2 goals or more for Reading Reading are in great form and they should get the win here against an out of sorts Charlton and I'm backing the hosts to score 2 or more @8/11. BTTS looks big @11/10 with Charlton capable of scoring and while it won't be a best bet, I do feel it could make it into one of my "pocket change" bets. 15:00 Brentford vs Rotherham - Prediction -1.2 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @4/6 Key Facts * Brentford have seen BTTS in 7 out of 10 league fixtures so far this season * 10 of their last 12 home league fixtures have also seen BTTS. All 10 of those games also went over 2.5 goals * Brentford have scored in 20 of their last 22 home fixtures * There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 14 of Brentford’s last 15 home games in the Championship. * Clean sheets are a rarity for Brentford with only 2 in their last 16 home fixtures * Brentford have won only 2 out of 10 fixtures so far this season * Brentford have lost 4 of their last 6 home league fixtures * Rotherham have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 Championship fixtures * Rotherham have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 5 away league fixtures * Rotherham have kept only 2 clean sheets in just 17 away Championship fixtures * Rotherham have scored in 10 of their last 12 away Championship fixtures * 6 of Rotherham's last 8 Championship fixtures have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals * 15 of the 20 matches played in the Championship this season involving these two sides have seen BTTS Final Verdict Rotherham have been improving in recent weeks while Brentford haven't scored in their last two but the visitors rarely keep clean sheets and the home side have a fine record of scoring and BTTS so that's what I'm going with here @4/6. 15:00 Burnley vs Bolton - Prediction - 2.1 - Suggested Bets - BTTS @ 4/5 Key Facts * Burnley have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 Championship fixtures * Burnley have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 5 home league fixtures including each of the last 3 * All 4 of those BTTS fixtures also went over 2.5 goals * Burnley have won 5 of their last 7 Championship fixtures losing just once * Bolton have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 Championship fixtures * Bolton's lost their last 2 away fixtures with both seeing BTTS and over 4.5 goals. (4.1 and 4.3) * Bolton have lost 11 of their last 15 away league fixtures * Bolton have kept just 2 clean sheets in their last 17 away league fixtures * Neil Lennon is under huge pressure now going into this derby with Bolton winning only 1 of their last 15 Championship fixtures Final Verdict - BTTS a possibility in this local derby. Bolton threw away a 3.2 lead at QPR in their last away fixture but they are showing some signs of improvements going forward and I fancy they can score to bring up BTTS @4/5 here with Burnley in good form and very likely to find the net themselves, especially considering the dreadful away record of the visitors. This should be a blood and thunder derby and I expect Bolton to run the hosts close so I'll take BTTS @4/5 although I wouldn't be surprised to see a home win @17/20 or Burnley to score 2 or more @5/6. Suggested Bets Middlesbrough vs Fulham - Boro to score 2 or more @4/7 Reading vs Charlton - Reading to score 2 or more @8/11 Milton Keynes Dons vs Blackburn - BTTS @4/6 Brentford vs Rotherham - BTTS @4/6 Middlesbrough vs Fulham - BTTS @5/6 Preston vs Cardiff - BTTS @5/6 Burnley vs Bolton - BTTS @4/5 Reading vs Charlton - BTTS @11/10 Milton Keynes Dons vs Blackburn - Draw @5/2 Preston vs Cardiff - Draw @23/10
