It's the final weekend of the season and what a match we have tomorrow with Scotland hosting England in a crucial fixture on the road to Russia as the Scots look to resurrect their campaign against the oldest of enemies. Before all that drama tomorrow, we have 9 fixtures tonight and I've picked out 4 of them for my best bets today with Sweden's home fixture with France likely to be the pick of the bunch with most of tonight;s fixtures looking somewhat one-sided. Saturday should produce a more competitive round of fixtures and I will do my best to post my best selections for those later today. Here then are Friday's best bets from across Europe. #BOlieve
World Cup Qualification Grp. H 19:45 Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece - PREDICTION - 2.1 Best Bets - Bosnia to win @7/10, BTTS @5/4 Key Facts * Bosnia have won 6 of their last 7 home qualifiers since 2015 * Bosnia have scored 12 goals in their 3 home qualifiers so far in this campaign with 5.0 wins over Estonia and Gibraltar as well as a 2.0 win over Cyprus * Edin Dzeko has scored 10 goals in his last 11 appearances for club and country * Greece have scored 11 goals in their last 5 away fixtures. They had only scored 3 in their previous 10 away games (not including Euro 2016) * Greece have scored in 16 of their last 18 away International qualifiers FInal Verdict Bosnia are very strong at home and while the Greeks have improved their form following a managerial change, I can't see them getting anything from this tie with Bosnia needing 3 points to maintain their hopes of qualification but Greece do have a fine record of scoring in away qualifiers so perhaps a home win with BTTS could be the final outcome here. 19:45 Estonia vs Belgium - Prediction - 0.2 - No bets 19:45 Gibraltar vs Cyprus - Prediction - 0.4 - No bets World Cup Qualification Grp. B 19:45 Andorra vs Hungary - Prediction - 0.3 - No bets 19:45 Faroe Islands vs Switzerland - Prediction - 0.2 - No bets 19:45 Latvia vs Portugal - Prediction - 0.3 Best Bets - Portugal to win -2 @10/11, Ronaldo to score 2 or more @5/4 Key Facts * Latvia have lost each of their last 5 fixtures. 2 of them by more than 2 goals in 2 of their last 3 fixtures and by more than 1 goal in 4 of their last 5. * Latvia conceded 14 in those 5 games, scoring only 1, in their 4.1 loss at Portugal in November of last year * Portugla have won by 3 goals or more in 6 of their last 8 fixtures * Portugal have scored 30 goals in their 8 international fixtures since winning Euro 2016 * Portugal won 6.0 in their most recent away qualifer at the Faroes * Ronaldo has scored 10 goals in his last 5 International appearances for Portugal with 2 or more scored in 3 of those 5 games * Ronaldo has scored 2 goals or more on 16 occassions for Portugal * Ronaldo scored 2 goals or more in 4 of his last 6 appearances for Real Madrid at the end of the season including 2 in the Champions League final * Ronaldo has scored 19 goals in his 14 most recent games for Real Madrid Final Verdict You have to fancy the man of the moment, Cristiano Ronaldo, to continue his stunning form here against a bang average Latvian side that have performed miserably so far in qualifying and with Portugal in wonderful form since their Euro 2016 triumph and lead by their talismanic captain, I expect a thumping away win with Ronaldo surely too good to ignore at 5/4 to score 2 or more with 19 goals in his last 14 outings for Real and 10 in his last 5 for Portugal. World Cup Qualification Grp. A 19:45 Belarus vs Bulgaria - Prediction - 0.0 Best Bets - DRAW @9/4 Final Verdict Bulgaria seem the stronger but they rarely win on the road while Belarus have a decent record at home, losing only 4 of their last 17 and with Bulgaria losing 6 of their last 7 away qualifiers, we could be on course for a dull draw here. 19:45 Netherlands vs Luxembourg - Prediction 4.0 - No bets 19:45 Sweden vs France - Prediction 2.2 Best Bets - BTTS @1/1, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @13/8 Key Facts * Sweden have scored in their last 13 home International qualifiers, with the Swedes managing 2 or more in 10 of those 13 fixtures * Sweden have seen over 2.5 goals scored in 8 of their last 10 home qualifiers Final Verdict France are fancied to win but Sweden are in good form and while Zlatan has now retired from Internatioanl duty, the Swedes have found new talent in the shape of Leipzig forward Emil Forsberg who has 3 goals in his last 4 for the Swedes and I fancy the hosts to make a real battle of what looks like the best game of the evening so goals should be on the cards with BTTS my pick from Stockholm and while many are tipping an away win with the French packed full of quality, I do fancy the hosts to perhaps sneak a point in an entertaining contest. Friday Best Bets Sweden vs France - BTTS @1/1 Latvia vs Portugal - Portugal -2 to win @10/11 Latvia vs Portgual - Ronaldo to score 2 or more @5/4 Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece - Bosnia to win @7/10 Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece - BTTS @5/4 Other selections Belarus vs Bulgaria - Draw @9/4 Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece - Dzeko to score first @10/3 Sweden vs France - BTTS and over 2.5 goals @13/8 Comments are closed.
