Friday night football returns to the Premier league and we have a tremendous contest from the Emirates Stadium to feast upon with on-song Liverpool travelling to London to take on an Arsenal side that have really struggled to reach their best form in recent fixtures. 19:45 Arsenal vs Liverpool - Prediction 1.3 Current Form
Past Meetings
Final Verdict - Goals on the cards Goals have been a staple of this match-up in past years with 8 of their last 9 meetings going over 2.5 goals and that outcome seems inevitable here with Liverpool in such great goal-scoring form while they have also scored at least 3 goals in their last 4 meetings with Arsenal . With the Gunners almost always scoring at home, I really expect this one to produce BTTS and over 2.5 goals and the bookies agree, pricing BTTS @4/9 and over 2.5 goals @1/2. The double @4/5 makes more sense in a match that has seen that outcome in 7 of the last 9 contests. Arsenal have only scored 1 goal in each of their last 4 PL games but I do expect more chances for them to score here with this fixture so often proving to be a high-scoring, end to end game of chances, goals and big drama. While goals at both ends seem inevitable again, I just can’t see Liverpool losing this one with Arsenal really failing to impress since their 3.1 home loss to Man United and with the ‘Pool in such good form themselves, and boasting a really good recent record over Arsenal, I fancy the visitors to claim the spoils and score at least 2 goals with Wenger’s side really struggling for form in the last month. Liverpool to score 2 or more @1/1 is my NAP of the weekend, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they could score 3 or more at super sexy odds of 10/3. Given the visitors potency in recent fixtures and in matches against Arsenal in recent seasons, I would be really surprised if they can’t score at least 2 goals against an Arsenal side that have flattered to deceive, especially in recent performances. Liverpool are 9/5 to claim the 3 points and that seems too big to me, even considering Arsenal’s excellent home record, so the 1/1 on Liverpool DNB is the safer ploy but even if Arsenal do avoid defeat, I don’t see them stopping Liverpool from scoring at least 2 goals and that’s my best bet here at even money 1/1. Best Bets BTTS and over 2.5 goals @4/5 – 4 stars Liverpool to score 2 or more @1/1 – 3.5 stars Liverpool DNB @1/1 – 3 stars Liverpool to score 3 or more @10/3 – 2 stars Comments are closed.
