It was a disappointing night for Bo as Rangers somehow managed to win a game although it was something of a long shot ultimately at big odds. I didn't see any of the results until I got home late tonight so didn't have a chance to see any of the games but had raith scored again, i would have won my deadly double
Dortmund picked up the expected win in Stuttgart while Charlton smashed Wigan on the road 3 to 0. It was a night of small loss and we are back to where we started last week but I am hopeful for the weekend where the stakes will be bigger. Top tips to follow soon. With a big weekend of games to come, I am loathe to commit too much of my betting pot on Friday night football so the tips tonight are a little bit speculative and definitely for low stakes. I am going with Raith to pull off an "upset" win over Rangers at big odds of 9/2 and also expect Dortmund to win in Stuttgart comfortably to cover the handicap. I am also backing the world's ultimate Pog. No not Steve Allen (nod to Simpson's aficionados) but Juventus Wrecking ball, Paul Pogba to find the net tonight at home to Atalanta. There is actually a decent selection of games across Europe tonight with TV coverage beginning to dictate that there is a live game from most of the major leagues now on a Friday evening and with the EPL joining from 2016 onwards, Friday's are beginning to become a pretty decent day for bets with just enough games to focus on without overdoing it. There are 6 games worth considering, 1 each from La Liga, Bundesliga, Erredivisie, the Championship, Scottish Championship and Serie A. Beleagured Rangers travel to Raith Rovers (Craig Whyte or Charles Green pictured) and face the real prospect of another defeat at huge odds 0f 9/2 La Liga 15:00 Barclona vs Malaga Prediction - 4.1 - Best Bet - BTTS at 6/5/Messi to score 2 or more 13/8 Anyone who tells you that La Liga is better or more exciting than the EPL is talking nonsense and games like these demonstrate why. Barca are 1/9 on to beat the 7th best team in the country. This is like Chelsea being 1/9 to beat Liverpool at home. Not really comparable is it? Malaga have though scored on 5 of their last 6 visits to Camp Nou and while Messi and co should put this game beyond them, I fancy they can score at very tempting odds against of 6/5. Messi is 13/8 to score TWO goals. Yes, really those odds are scarily short, but I fancy it. The man is on fire and should be able to dismiss the southern Spanish outfit. And here is part 2 of the European preview.
There are 6 games from Germany in the Bundesliga on Saturday, 3 from Holland, 4 in La Liga and a derby in Italy to look at and while my Saturday attention will always be focussed on the top 2 leagues in England, it would be silly to ignore the possible BTTS matches that seem to be so frequent in Germany and Holland and ever increasingly, in Italy. I am not going to write a preview for all of them, but I will highlight my favourites and possible selections for Saturday with a host of draws on the cards in Germany. One of my favourite divisions is the ruthlessly competitive Championship in England where teams fight it out over a marathon 46 game season for the right to play in the world's richest league. While it can be a highly unpredictable division, it is also a league fuil of goals is a staple of my weekend BTTS selections. The EPL returns this weekend with a full card and across Europe there are many important fixtures in all of the top domestic leagues to consider for our weekend bets. We will start though with my bread and butter which is the EPL where we have 7 matches on Saturday to consider. Man City look to get back to winning ways in the live tea-time fixture with Newcastle coming to town while Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd are all in action as well. I will post further preview on the Championship, Bundesliga and some other ties from across the continent. For the 3rd night running, Bo scored a victory over the bookies as I landed a 4/1 "Tasty Treble" and also picked out some other fine winners on a night that followed much of my expectations. There was high drama and BTTS as predicted at Celtic Park and only a last minute stunner from John Gudietti denied Inter the win I had suggested. Earlier Wolfsburg saw off Sporting Lisbon and there was plenty of goals for Everton as they won 4.1 to against the Young Boys to set up the final leg of my treble at Celtic Park. The Europa League is back and punters across the land shudder at the prospect of trying to find a winner in a notorious minefield of a competition. Still, that won't stop Bo going for a midweek hat-trick of winners following our super success the past 2 nights. I have already previewed all 16 ties for tonight in my previous posts, and of course I won't be betting on all of them but there are a few games that should prove to be interesting. Ajax v Legia Warsaw - Ajax to win 1.0. Ajax are off the pace in Holland at the moment and while they should win this one, I will not be backing them to do so. I doubt there will be a bet on this one for Bo. It was another great night for bobreaksthebookies as I landed my 6/1 double with Real winning 2.0 in Schalke, covering my handicap bet and in Switzerland, Basle managed to hold Porto to a 1.1 draw as tipped up in the 2nd leg of my fabulous and accurately titled "deadly double" Indeed the Swiss hosts had lead for most of the evening until an 80th minute penalty levelled the score and they held on for a draw despite only managing 1 shot over the course of the game. I spoke about Basle and their home form and their ability to push the bigger Europeans teams hard and so it proved as they battled to a draw despite seemingly playing 2nd best for most of the evening. In Germany, Real were just about good enough to cover my -1 handicap with their 2.0 win and had they made it 3, I would have landed my 45/1 pocket change bet but as it was it went pretty much to plan with Ronaldo opening the scoring, as tipped up earlier at 11/4 odds. I even picked out the draw in the Championship as Birmingham held 'Boro 1.1 Lets take another look at my results and my new balance :) Cristiano Ronaldo will expect to get back on goalscoring form tonight as Real Madrid continue their Champions League campaign in Germany against perennial last 16 team, Schalke 04. In last seasons tournament at the same stage, Real humbled there German opponents 9.2 on aggregate and while a similar score should not be expected, Real should still emerge as comfortable winners over the tie and I expect them to all but secure the spoils in the first leg. Sound familar? well let's hope they can achieve what lacklustre Bayern could not in their trip to Ukraine last night. It was 6.1 to Real in the first leg last season, also played in Germany and If you fancy lightning to strike twice, you can get 50/1 on that particular outcome, while Real to win by 2 or more goals is 11/10. This seems the more realistic option but they might even cover the minus 2 handicap at 13/5. BTTS is 8/11 and this also looks likely with Real still not truly soild at the back and with Schalke knowing their only chance is to win tonight, they will surely look t o get on the front foot. However, I expect Real to punish them once again and for me the 6/5 on offer on the minus 1 handicap is the best bet. It's the return of the Europa League tonight as we reach the last 32 teams, and there are some pretty decent games across Europe with 4 British sides in action amongst the 16 ties on offer, With there being so many games to look atI will focus my attention on a select few and look for some draws as there are sure to be a 1 or 2 around with some of these match-ups looking pretty even and given my form in the market, it is one I intend to pursue on low stakes tonight. It was a rather good night for Bobreaksthebookies as I landed my 5.4/1 double on a Chelsea draw, and BTTS in the Rotherham v Derby encounter. Let's have a look again at tonight's predictions and bets. t was a shocker of a Sunday evening for Bo with Atletico and Villareal flopping on the road to scupper my tasty treble and sexy single respectively. So, a valuable lesson has been learned - avoid La Liga in the future. But more on that later and there is no time for a big write up tonight so here are the top tips for a small card but with some sexy action to be sure but nothing that convinces me to put on a big "sexy single"
As predicted, there were goals a plenty in Italy this afternoon with BTTS in 3 of my 4 highlighted selections, including the first 2 selections in my "tasty treble" with Villareal to come later, but more on that to come. Unfortunately Udinese let me down for my "tasty double" by failing to score at home to a Lazio team who had leadked 7 in their previous 4 away games, conceding in all 4 of said games and even letting 2 in at lowly Cesena in their last outing. Sadly, Udinese could not follow suit by finding a goal and they were the only side out of 8 selections who couldn't score with the other 7 all managing the trick before the 40th minute. Pretty unlucky to be fair although with my other selections all winning at half time, I was able to place a small cover to reduce my overall loss.
Here is another look at today's selections and early results. After a lengthy absence, following illness, house moving and my job actually involving some work for a change, I have returned to Bobreaksthebookies to pick out some winners as we move into the closing stages of the season. I have been picking winners left right and centre lately, and believe now is the time to make some fine profit in the final 3 months of the season with all of the leagues approaching the home stretch with form and stastical analysis at this stage proving vital to my success. I will be focusing my attentions strictly on the EPL, Championship, Bundesliga and Erredivisie in Holland and to a lesser extent, Serie A, La liga and the SPFL. Goals are proving easy to find south of the border although Germany and Holland have been less fruitful since the end of the winter break although some stunning results today saw that change for the most part and this will be my main area of focus in the coming weeks with BTTS, over 2.5 goals, and total team goals my particular favourites. I will be using a points based system for my bets once more, whereby I advise a starting bankroll and betting with a percentage of that bankroll on each bet. For the purpose of simplicty, lets call that bankroll 1000 euros so if my suggested stake was 1 point, it would be 10 euros, 2 points is 20 euros, and so on. I will never bet more than 5 points on any one bet, and would recommend never going over 10 points in one day I will be presenting my results on a daily basis, and will explain any cover bets, as and when they occur and if time permits, post them to twitter and facebook. The "Sexy single" will return, and this will usually be a 5 point stake with a further 5 points being spread around on other bets. All will become clear in my post for Sundays matches upcoming. I will also look to cover my bets on occassion but this is a skill that needs to be understood and I advise googling a little on "cover bets" to understand more about what is a vital part of online gambling these days. But enough of that for now, I am coming back to smash the bookies and stand alone as the greatest football tipster alive and hopefully, time permitting, I will be printing cash for anyone brave enough to follow me. First day back in action for BO and it's a tricky card across Europe with FA Cup action and some interesting encounters in Italy, although I remain optimistic of some winners with Sunday's proving to be my most successful day of the week this year. Thanks The FA Cup looks to be worth avoiding, and the games on offer are hardly eye catching, so the best way to spice up our Sunday will be to find some winners and I am looking at Serie A for our best bets today. So what prompted my return you might ask? probably not, but let me answer the question with some admittedly pointless bragging on a day of goals.
I posted the following selections on the website of resident Daily Record tipster, Mrfixit this afternoon; BEST BETS FOR THE DAY IN ORDER OF STRENGTH OF CONFIDENCE Norwich V Wolves BTTS 4/5 – lost Bolton V Watford BTTS 4/6 – WINNER Leverkusen V Wolfsburg BTTS 8/15 (AND OVER 2.5 GOALS 4/7 ) WON AND WON Stoke V Blackburn BTTS 4/5 – WINNER Crystal Palace vs Liverpool BTTS 4/5 – WINNER Sassuolo vs Fiorentina BTTS 4/6 – WINNER Palermo vs Napoli BTTS 4/6 – WINNER Bournemouth TO SCORE 2 PLUS GOALS 8/15 – lost Derby to beat Reading 4/5 – lost Moenchengladbach v Cologne, BTTS 1/1 – lost Stoke to beat Blackburn 29/20 – lost Cologne not to lose at Moenchengladbach 5/4 – lost 7 out of 13 but crucially, all of those 7 were in my top 8 most confident picks with only Wolves failing to hit the back of the net. This is the kind of form I have been producing of late, and I expect the form to continue so while unfortunately none of these tips were made available today (except to readers of mrfixititstips.couk) so this is why Bo is back to put those bookies firmly in their place. |
